Itinerary
- Day 1
Vientiane to Vang Vieng
You'll ride north from Vientiane along Route 13, passing through quiet villages where the scenery gradually shifts from flat plains to limestone mountains rising up around you. Once you arrive in Vang Vieng, spend the afternoon checking out hidden caves in the area. By evening, settle by the Nam Song River and watch the light fade over the karst peaks.

- Day 2
Vang Vieng to Phou Khao Khouay National Park
Head southeast from Vang Vieng through lush fields and rolling hills toward Phou Khao Khouay National Park. You'll hike to Tad Leuk Waterfall and take a swim, then explore the park's caves and various trails throughout the day. Keep an eye out for langurs and hornbills moving through the forest. As darkness comes, you'll settle in with the sounds of the forest around you.

Phou Khao Khouay National Park to Vientiane
You'll ride back toward Vientiane on winding routes that take you through small villages. Stop along the way to talk with locals and get a feel for rural Lao life and culture. Visit cultural and historical sites as you make your way back, arriving in the capital by late afternoon. You'll have time to think back on the three days of different landscapes and experiences.
