Arrival in Amman
You'll land at Amman airport and work through immigration and customs before heading to your hotel by transfer. Once there, you've got the rest of the day free to settle in and get your bearings at your own pace.

- Day 2
Jerash - Amman
After breakfast, you'll head north to see Ajlun Fortress, a 12th-century castle that's quite impressive up close. From there, check out the Church of Saint Sergius where both Muslims and Orthodox Christians have lived side by side for generations. You'll have lunch and then move on to Jerash, where there's a major Roman archaeological site with a lot to walk through. Head back to Amman by evening.

- Day 3
Madaba - Mount Nebo - Amman
Today takes you to the Desert Castles from the 7th and 8th centuries. You'll see Qasr Kharana with its thick defensive walls and Qusayr Amra, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its frescoes. After grabbing lunch in Madaba, check out the archaeological park and the Church of St. George, which has a well-known 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Later, you'll head up to Mount Nebo where there's a view toward the Promised Land.

- Day 4
Dead Sea
Travel to Bethany on the banks of the River Jordan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site tied to John the Baptist and Jesus. You'll tour the Dead Sea Museum with its Panorama Complex, then check into your Dead Sea hotel. After lunch, you can float in the saltiest sea at the lowest altitude on earth, which is a therapeutic experience people come specifically for.

- Day 5
Dana - Shobak - Wadi Musa (Petra)
Follow the King's Road through the Moab Kingdom region and stop at Karak Castle, an impressive 12th-century fortress overlooking the landscape. Continue to Dana, a stone town sitting on a cliff with great views. You'll photograph the Crusader Castle at Shobak along the way, then walk through Moses Spring and visit the Petra Museum before arriving in Wadi Musa.

- Day 6
Wadi Rum
This is the highlight of the trip for most people. Petra is accessed through a narrow canyon where temples and tombs are carved right into the cliffs. After lunch, head into Wadi Rum desert and board 4x4 vehicles for exploring. You'll get a 45-minute camel ride, check out Khazali Canyon with Arabic language engravings carved into the rocks, then spend the night in a desert camp.

- Day 7
Eilat - Saint Catherine
Travel to Aqaba on the Red Sea and explore the city center before crossing into Israel at Eilat, a modern beach resort town. From there, you'll head toward the Egypt border into Sinai, passing Pharaoh's Island with Saladin's fortress, and arrive in Saint Catherine. Keep in mind border crossing fees total $92 total (Jordan exit $15, Israel exit $32, Egypt entry visa $45).

- Day 8
Cairo
At the base of Mount Sinai sits the walled Monastery of Saint Catherine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site sacred to Jews, Christians, and Muslims where Moses reportedly saw the Burning Bush. You'll travel through the Sinai Desert, stop at the Well of Moses, pass through the tunnel under the Suez Canal, and arrive in Cairo by evening.

- Day 9
Cairo
Check out the three main Pyramids (Cheops, Kefren, and Micerinos) and the Sphinx carved from the rock. The Egyptian Museum has a huge collection of ancient art, including items from Tutankhamen's tomb. After lunch, head to the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. Later, walk through the Coptic neighborhood to see the Hanging Church, which was built above a Roman fortress.

- Day 10
Abu Simbel - Aswan
Early flight from Cairo to Aswan, then you'll travel to Abu Simbel. Take a boat trip on Lake Nasser to see the temples carved into desert cliffs by Ramses II around the 12th century BC. The statues here are 20 meters tall and dedicated to Amun Ra. You'll also see the Temple of Nefertari before returning to Aswan in the afternoon.

- Day 11
Aswan
Spend the full day around Aswan. Visit the Red Granite Quarry to see the Unfinished Obelisk and learn how ancient Egyptians extracted granite. Take a boat to the Temple of Philae on a small island. You'll go on a felucca ride along the river to a Nubian Village with colorful painted houses. In the afternoon, ride a camel to the Monastery of Saint Simeon, which was once a large monastery and later became a caravanserail.

Edfu - Esna - Luxor
Drive along the Nile Valley with nice views of palm trees and active villages on both sides. Stop at Kom Ombo Temple overlooking the Nile with its symmetrical design dedicated to Sobek and Horus, and check out the Crocodile Museum. Continue to Edfu for one of Egypt's best-preserved temples dedicated to Horus. See Esna's temple, one of the few that still has its original roof with colors preserved, then arrive in Luxor.

- Day 13
Luxor
This is a full day exploring one of the world's most significant ancient cities. Cross the Nile by private boat early in the morning to the west bank and visit the Valley of the Artisans with tombs of master builders, the Temple of Medinet Habu with war scenes, the Colossi of Memnon statues, Valley of the Queens, and Valley of the Kings with electric cart access to Ramses' tomb. You'll have free lunch time after returning to the east bank. In the afternoon, tour Karnak temple complex and the Luxor Museum. After dark, visit the illuminated Luxor Temple with its lighting effects and stroll through the nearby souk.

Hurghada
Morning is free in Luxor for walking around, shopping, or seeing anything you missed. Then travel to Dendera, one of Egypt's best-preserved temple complexes because it was buried under sand and mud for centuries. The site covers an impressive area with tall brick walls. Visit the Temple of Hathor dedicated to the goddess of love and fertility. After lunch, drive to the Red Sea, crossing desert mountain ranges with interesting rock formations, arriving in Hurghada for your all-inclusive hotel.

Travel along the Red Sea coast to the Monastery of St. Anthony, the oldest monastery in Christendom dating to the fourth century. After lunch, head to El Galala, Egypt's new desert city project started in 2015, visiting the luxury resort and taking a cable car up one of Africa's highest slopes to see the newly built city. Continue to Cairo, arriving at the end of the day.
