Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Amman
You'll land at Amman airport and go through border procedures, then get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and get settled after your journey.
- Day 2
Jerash - Amman
After breakfast, head north to Ajlun Fortress, a 12th-century castle in the mountains, and check out the Church of Saint Sergius. Then you'll travel to Jerash to see its Roman archaeological site. Lunch is included before heading back to Amman.

Madaba - Mount Nebo - Amman
Travel out to the Desert Castles from the 7th-8th centuries, visiting Qasr Kharana and Qusayr Amra with its remarkable frescoes. From there, continue to Madaba for lunch and explore the Archaeological Park and Church of St. George, which has a famous 6th-century mosaic map. End at Mount Nebo before returning to Amman.

Dead Sea
Head to Bethany on the River Jordan banks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site connected to John the Baptist. You'll visit the Dead Sea Museum and Panorama Complex, then check in at your Dead Sea hotel. Later, you can try the unique experience of floating in the saltiest sea at the lowest altitude on earth.

Karak - Dana - Shobak - Wadi Musa
Climb the historic King's Road and visit Karak Castle, a 12th-century fortress. Continue to Dana, a stone village on a cliff, for lunch. You'll photograph Shobak's Crusader Castle from outside, then arrive in Wadi Musa. Before the evening, explore Moses Spring and the Petra Museum to learn about Nabatean history. Optional activities include visiting a Turkish bath or catching the Petra light and sound show.

Wadi Rum
This is the main day at Petra, the archaeological site you reach through a narrow canyon with temples and tombs cut into the cliffs. After lunch, head to Wadi Rum desert and board 4x4 vehicles to see the landscapes. You'll take a 45-minute camel ride and visit Khazali Canyon to see Arabic engravings. Spend the night in a desert camp.

Eilat - Saint Catherine
Leave for Aqaba, Jordan's second city on the Red Sea, and walk through its center. Cross the border to Eilat in Israel, a modern tourist city with good beaches. You'll have time to relax, grab lunch, and swim. Then continue toward Egypt's Sinai and photograph Pharaoh's Island with Saladin's fortress before arriving in Saint Catherine.

Sinai Desert - Cairo
At Mount Sinai's base, visit the walled Monastery of Saint Catherine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site sacred to Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Continue through Sinai's desert landscapes, stop at the Well of Moses, then leave Sinai through the tunnel under the Suez Canal. You'll arrive in Cairo by late afternoon.

Cairo
Spend the day exploring the pyramids of Cheops, Kefren and Micerinos, and the Sphinx carved from rock. Visit the Egyptian Museum with its ancient art and Tutankhamen's treasures. Tour Saladin's Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque, then walk through the Coptic neighborhood to see the Hanging Church built above a Roman fortress.

Faiyum - Menia
Leave Cairo early to discover Egypt's great lakes in the middle of the desert. You'll see the Pyramid of Meidum with its unique stepped structure from 2600 years ago. Explore Al Faiyum Oasis and the great Qarum Lake. Stop in Tunis village for lunch and check out its ceramic crafts. Continue to Wadi Rayyan national park with its saltwater lake and rare wildlife, then visit Wadi Al Hittan UNESCO World Heritage Site with a fossilized whale museum. End at Menia by the Nile.

Continue through the Nile Valley center. Stop at Zawyat Sultan, a necropolis with unique vaulted adobe mausoleums. Visit Beni Hassan, a necropolis on cliffs above the Nile with tombs from 2125-1795 BC showing daily life details. Explore the Tombs of Mir from the Old and Middle Kingdom. Visit Deir El-Muhrraq monastery, a pilgrimage site where tradition says Mary and Jesus stayed. End in Assiut.

Abydos - Luxor
Travel through Egypt's main Coptic area. See the White Monastery from the fourth century with its powerful walls built from pharaonic temple stone, and the Red Monastery with restored fourth-century frescoes. Continue to Abydos, the most important worship site of Osiris for over 4500 years. Explore the Temple of Seti, one of Egypt's most complete temples, then arrive in Luxor.

Luxor
This day focuses on one of the planet's most impressive ancient cities. Take a private boat across the Nile to the west bank. Visit Deir el-Medina where builders and craftsmen lived, exploring three tombs with daily life scenes. Visit Medinet Habu temple and stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, then the famous Valley of the Kings with tombs including Ramses (electric cart included). In the afternoon, visit Karnak's vast religious complex and the Luxor Museum. After dark, see the illuminated Luxor Temple and walk the nearby souk.

Esna - Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan
Travel south following the Nile valley with beautiful landscapes and palm groves. Visit Esna's great temple, one of the few that keeps its original roof with preserved colors, and see the restored caravanserai and Nile floodgates. Continue to Edfu to visit the Temple of Edfu, the best-preserved temple dedicated to Horus built 2300 years ago. Stop in Kom Ombo for lunch and visit its symmetrical temple with fascinating reliefs and hieroglyphs. Tour the Crocodiles Museum with mummified specimens, then arrive in Aswan by late afternoon.

Aswan
In Aswan, visit the Red Granite Quarry and the famous Unfinished Obelisk. Tour the Aswan Dam, one of the world's largest, which created Lake Nasser extending over 500 kilometers. Visit the Temple of Philae dedicated to goddess Isis on a small island accessible by boat. In the afternoon, take a felucca cruise on traditional sailing boats to Kitchener Island with its Botanical Garden.
