Arrival in Arusha
A representative from Lights on Africa will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Arusha. You'll have time to settle in and rest before your safari kicks off the next morning.

- Day 2
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast around 8:00AM, your guide picks you up and drives about two and a half hours to Tarangire National Park. You'll spend the day looking for elephant families, giraffe, lions, and leopards among the ancient Baobab trees. There's a picnic lunch inside the park, then you head to your accommodation in Karatu by afternoon.

Landmarks Tarangire National Park - Day 3
Ngorongoro to Serengeti
Following breakfast, you drive into the cooler Ngorongoro Conservation Area and see the Ngorongoro Crater. From there you continue south into the Serengeti, where you'll see wide open grasslands and potentially the Great Migration. A picnic lunch happens during the drive, and you'll sleep at a tented camp in Central Serengeti.

- Day 4
Serengeti Full Game Drive
The entire day is for game driving in the Serengeti. You'll look for impala, buffalo, crocodile, hippo, lion, cheetah, and leopard. Depending on where the Great Migration is located, you might venture away from Central Serengeti to catch it.

- Day 5
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Start with a leisurely sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, then gradually work your way back toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Crater. You'll stay at a mid-range lodge near the Crater Rim where it's cooler, and enjoy a substantial dinner.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park Ngorongoro Crater - Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
You descend into Ngorongoro Crater to see savannah, acacia forest, and shallow lakes. Look for large herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, over 500 bird species, and if you're fortunate, the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you drive back to Karatu.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Crater - Day 7
Lake Manyara National Park & Departure
Head 120km west to Lake Manyara National Park for your final safari location. You'll check out the shallow salt lake with thousands of wading birds and flamingos, evergreen forest, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Baboon and elephant are common throughout. After a picnic lunch, you get dropped at your choice of Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport.
