- Day 1
Loire Valley
Head south into the Loire Valley and start in Blois where you'll see the castle. From there, continue to Tours on the Loire River where lunch fits in nicely. Later in the afternoon, check out Château de Villandry with its gardens and flowers. The day ends in Amboise, a medieval city along the river, with dinner included.

- Day 2
Limoges
This morning you'll walk through Amboise and see Château du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years. Then visit Château de Chenonceau, built over the river like a bridge. After that, head to Chambord, the largest castle in the Loire Valley with its park. Later you'll reach Limoges, famous for its porcelain production, and explore the historic center including Saint Etienne Cathedral.

- Day 3
Dordogne
Leave Limoges for Dordogne and arrive at Lascaux to see the museum and replica caves showing prehistoric paintings. Next stop is Sarlat, a UNESCO town with a Renaissance historic center where you'll have time to walk around and grab lunch. After that, visit the medieval castle in Beynac that overlooks the river. You'll finish the day in Rocamadour, a medieval village on a cliff, with suggestions to walk the Via Crucis and take the lift back up. Dinner included.

- Day 4
Bordeaux
Start at Padirac Chasm and take a boat ride 75 meters underground on the river. Continue to Collonges-la-Rouge, a village built with red stone on the Way of St. James. After lunch, head to Saint-Emilion in the Bordeaux wine region for a stroll. You'll arrive in Bordeaux by evening.

- Day 5
Lourdes
Explore Bordeaux's World Heritage center with the Water Mirror and historic old town featuring pedestrian streets and an 11th-century cathedral. You have time to walk along the Garonne River banks with restaurants for lunch, or check out the Cité du Vin museum about wine if interested. Later, head toward the Pyrenees and reach Lourdes by mid-afternoon. Visit the sanctuary and consider attending the candlelit procession. Dinner included.

Travel through south France starting in Carcassonne with time to explore and eat lunch in this city known for its medieval walls and castle. Continue toward the Pyrenees and make a brief stop in Foix, a medieval town with a castle. Pass through the Pyrenees with snowy peaks visible. Stop quickly at Sant Joan de Caselles, a 12th-century Romanesque church, then continue to Andorra la Vella. You'll have free time to explore or visit Caldea, Europe's largest thermal spa. Dinner included.

Have free time in Andorra for shopping or walking around. After lunch, continue through mountain countryside to Santa Maria de Montserrat abbey. Take a rack train up the mountain for great scenery and time to explore the sanctuary. From there, continue to Barcelona, arriving in the late afternoon.

Valencia - Madrid
Travel south along the Mediterranean with a stop in Peñíscola, a walled town by the sea with time for a walk. Continue to Valencia, a vibrant port city, arriving around lunchtime where you can try the famous paella. Around 4:30 p.m., head toward Madrid but first stop at the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia. Arrive in Madrid between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. and get a transfer to Plaza Mayor for pinchos or wine at one of its restaurants.
