- Day 3
Dublin to Liverpool via Wales
Early morning ferry takes you across to Wales for three to three and a half hours. Stop in Caernarfon, a seaside World Heritage Site, for lunch and some time to walk around. Later, head to Liverpool for a short bus tour of this World Heritage Site and the UK's second-largest port.

London

London to Paris via Calais and Amiens
Leave London and take a ferry to France. Stop briefly in Calais, then continue to Amiens, known for its Gothic cathedral. Walk through narrow streets, check out the floating gardens, and see Jules Verne's house. You'll arrive in Paris by evening.

Paris

Lyon to Zurich via Geneva

Zurich
Spend time in Zurich, Switzerland's largest city and financial center. Take a scenic cruise on Lake Zurich with short stops at small villages. Get off in Rapperswil, a village with a medieval castle, then return to Zurich by train.

Zurich to Milan via Bellinzona and Como
Leave Zurich early and cross the Alps into Switzerland's Italian-speaking region. Stop in Bellinzona to see its three UNESCO World Heritage medieval castles on hilltops. Continue to Como for lunch, known as the jewel of Lombardy with lakeside gardens. Arrive in Milan by evening.

- Day 16
Rome
Start with a three hour guided tour combining a walking tour through Imperial Rome with a bus ride. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Saint Mary Major Basilica, and Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour ends at Vatican City around 11 a.m. In the evening, head to Trastevere for dinner with lots of cozy restaurants and a lively atmosphere.

Leave Rome heading north and stop at Piazzale Michelangelo for great city views. Walk toward the historic center for lunch, then take a guided walking tour of the Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. The afternoon is free to explore. Evening has many restaurant options with different kinds of food.
