Itinerary
- Day 1
Besalú - Collioure - Carcassonne
Start in Girona by walking through the medieval old town, where you'll find the Gothic cathedral and the historic Jewish quarter tucked into narrow streets. From there, head to Besalú, a charming medieval town where you can see the fortified bridge, castle, and ancient Jewish baths. Later, cross into France and stop in Collioure to spend time on the beach and check out the castle overlooking the coast. By evening you'll arrive in Carcassonne and settle in for the night.

- Day 2
Narbonne - Marseille
Take a guided tour through Carcassonne's Castle of the Counts and walk along the medieval walls, then explore the town at your own pace. After that, head to Narbonne to see the historic center and get a feel for this Occitan city. Continue south to Marseille, France's second-largest city, where you'll take a walk through Vieux Port. The waterfront is filled with restaurants and has a lively energy, so it's a good spot to grab lunch or just wander around.

- Day 3
Avignon - Pont du Gard - Barcelona
Begin in Aix-en-Provence, the birthplace of painter Paul Cézanne, and walk through the historic center with its fountains and squares. Move on to Avignon, which served as the seat of the popes, and see the Palace of the Popes, an impressive structure from that era. Stop at Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage Site that's worth seeing up close. Then head toward Catalonia, arriving in Barcelona this evening after traveling through beautiful countryside.
