- Day 1
Lake Manyara National Park
Your hotel pickup happens at 8:00 AM, then you'll head into Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. The park's compact size makes it great for spotting tree-climbing lions along with giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and hippos throughout the day. The lake itself provides a nice backdrop for photos. You'll return to camp in the afternoon, giving you time to rest before dinner.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you travel to Serengeti National Park, and the drive itself is something special as the landscape opens up into endless plains. Once there, you'll see the scale of what you're dealing with, with massive herds of wildebeests and zebras across the grasslands, plus lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunting throughout. This is the area where those famous river crossing scenes have been shot, so your guide can explain what happens here during migration season.

Serengeti National Park
You get a full day in Serengeti with your guide, and the schedule is flexible depending on what you want to do. Each morning you'll talk through your options, whether that's a morning game drive followed by lunch and downtime back at camp and then an afternoon drive, or going out for the entire day with a packed lunch. It's really based on your energy level and what animals you're hoping to see.

- Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
This starts early with a wake-up call for morning game drive when wildlife is most active, then you'll head back for brunch at camp. After eating, you travel toward Ngorongoro, and once there you get a sense of the crater's size with those 2,000-foot walls surrounding you. Inside and around the crater you'll find black rhinos, large elephants, flamingos around the soda lake, plus river areas and forest sections with nearly every East African animal species present.

- Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
You'll start very early and descend into the crater floor for morning wildlife viewing while animals are moving around. After the drive, a picnic lunch happens near Hippo Lake, then you do a shorter afternoon game drive before heading back up and out of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive to Arusha takes a few hours, and you should arrive around 5 PM for drop-off at your hotel.
