- Day 3
Lisbon to Madrid
You'll leave Portugal early and drive through the Alentejo region. In Estremoz, you'll stop for coffee and check out its medieval castle and charming architecture. From there, you'll continue to Caceres in Spain for lunch and explore the well-preserved medieval and Renaissance center. Later, you'll head to Madrid, arriving in the evening near Plaza Mayor.

- Day 4
Madrid

Girona to Chambery

After that, you'll visit Carrieres des Lumieres for an underground art experience in an ancient quarry with visual and sound displays. You'll arrive in Chambery, the medieval capital of Savoy, by evening.

Zurich to Milan
You'll leave Zurich early and cross the Alps into the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. In Bellinzona, you'll see three UNESCO World Heritage medieval castles on hills overlooking the city with free time to explore the charming center. Then you'll head into Italy and stop in Como for lunch, known as the jewel of Lombardy with beautiful lakeside gardens. You'll continue to Milan and see Piazza del Duomo with some free time before checking into your hotel.

Rome
This morning you'll join a three-hour guided tour combining a walking tour through Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour ends at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., and your guide will offer an optional Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel visit. Salzburg
