- Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you'll be picked up for a 2.5-hour drive that takes you through scenic landscapes and local communities on your way to Tarangire National Park. Once you arrive, your first game drive starts right away where you'll watch for the park's famous elephants, baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. The day wraps up with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
You'll head out after breakfast and drive toward the Serengeti with spectacular views of the landscape unfolding as you go. When you reach the Serengeti gate, there's a picnic lunch before an afternoon game drive. The endless plains of savannah and forest here support about 1.5 million herbivores during migration season, along with their predators.

- Day 3
Serengeti National Park
This full day is all game drives across the Serengeti. You'll have chances to spot impala, buffalo, crocodile, hippo, and the famous migrating zebra, antelope, and wildebeest herds. Where the animals move depends on weather and rainfall, so they shift between northern woodlands (November-December) and southern plains. You might also run into resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions.

- Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Another full day of game driving at the Serengeti takes you through kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation, and open plains. If you're interested in birds, you'll have chances to see over 500 species including augur buzzards, kori bustards, black-headed herons, and white-backed vultures. After a picnic lunch, the afternoon continues with game viewing while driving toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll stay at a lodge on the crater rim.

Ngorongoro Crater
Early breakfast gets you ready to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the world's largest intact crater. Around 30,000 large mammals live here, and the natural borders concentrate wildlife, so you'll encounter the Big Five including African Black Rhino, plus hyena, zebra, and elephants. Late afternoon brings a drive back to Marera Valley Lodge for the night.

Lake Manyara to Arusha
The drive to Lake Manyara takes you to a park known for its panoramic views, waterfalls, brooks, and hot springs. You'll spend the day on a game drive through the park, and there's an option to book a 2-hour walking safari to get closer looks at giraffes, buffalos, and other animals. In the afternoon, you'll head back to Arusha, arriving before dinner.

Arusha to Zanzibar
You'll be picked up and transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Your first night is in Stone Town where you'll have views of the old city. The hotel can arrange optional activities like a guided Old Town tour, Spice Tour, Prison Island visit, or Jozani Forest exploration.

Zanzibar Beach Relaxation
Three full days here let you relax at the beach on Zanzibar, the spice island of the Indian Ocean. The main islands are Unguja and Pemba, and over centuries they've been home to Sumerians, Assyrians, Egyptians, Phoenicians, Indians, Chinese, Persians, Portuguese, Omani Arabs, Dutch, and British settlers, creating a unique cultural blend. The hotel can arrange sea sports and water activities for an extra cost.
