Islamabad
You'll arrive in Islamabad and head to your hotel to get settled. After your travel, this day is really about resting up and getting oriented to the city before things get going.

Islamabad to Skardu
Head out to Islamabad airport early for your flight to Skardu. Once you land, you'll have time to walk around town and get a feel for the area. The drive from the airport gives you a sense of what the region looks like.

Skardu to Khaplu
The drive to Khaplu takes you through some interesting terrain, and you'll stop at Shigar Valley along the way. When you arrive in Khaplu, you can check out the town and the surrounding landscape. It's a good chance to see the local area before settling in.

- Day 4
Hushe Valley - Skardu
This is a full day in Hushe Valley where you'll see the dramatic mountain scenery and glaciers. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive back to Skardu town, so you'll have time to get back before evening settles in.

Skardu to Gulmit/Shishkat
You'll drive north to Gulmit or Shishkat village in upper Hunza, which sits at a high elevation. The route offers plenty of sightseeing opportunities, so there's a lot to take in during the drive. The landscape here is quite different from what you've seen so far.

Gulmit/Shishkat
This day is yours to do what you want around Gulmit or Shishkat. You might walk around the village, chat with locals, or just relax after the driving. It's a good break to move at your own pace.

- Day 7
Khunjerab Pass
You'll take a full day trip to Khunjerab Pass, which sits at 4,693 meters and ranks among the highest mountain passes in the world. The altitude is significant, so you'll feel the elevation, but the views and the achievement make it worthwhile. Back to your accommodation by evening.

Gulmit/Shishkat to Karimabad
The drive to Karimabad includes a stop at Hopper Glacier in Hopper Valley, also called Nagar Valley. You'll see the glacier up close and then continue on to Karimabad, which sits in a scenic spot overlooking the valley.

Karimabad
Another free day for you to explore Karimabad and the surrounding area on your own schedule. The town has local markets and views of the valley, so there's plenty to see if you want to wander around.

Karimabad to Besham
You'll head south toward Besham on the Karakoram Highway, which is known for its scenic drive. The road cuts through valleys and along rivers, and you'll see changing landscapes as you make your way down.

Besham to Islamabad
Drive back to Islamabad and spend some time checking out the city if you have the chance. Later in the evening, you'll head to the airport for your flight back home, wrapping up your trip through the mountains and valleys.
