    You'll arrive at Dakar airport and get transferred to your hotel. Once you're settled, take some time to walk around the Cap Vert peninsula and soak in the capital's lively atmosphere. It's a good chance to get oriented and grab dinner somewhere local after your journey.

    Dakar - Île de Gorée

    This morning starts with a city tour of Dakar, hitting Independence Square and the artists' village. Then you'll take a boat out to Goree island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colorful colonial buildings. The slave house is worth seeing (though it closes Mondays). You'll stay overnight on the island, so pack an overnight bag and plan to have dinner there.

Bereits in der Vorbereitungsphase fühlten wir uns durch die Telefonate und schnellen Rückmeldungen per Mail oder Telefon bestens betreut. Unsere Wünsche und Vorstellungen konnten wir problemlos in die Reiseplanung einbringen. Die Flüge verliefen nahezu planmäßig, und auch die Organisation vor Ort war hervorragend. Unser Guide beeindruckte mit seinem fundierten Wissen über Geschichte und Landeskunde. Zudem war er äußerst zuverlässig in der Abstimmung und ermöglichte uns durch seine einfühlsame Art einen authentischen Zugang zu den Menschen vor Ort. Auch unser Fahrer überzeugte durch seine besonnene Fahrweise, sodass wir uns selbst in anspruchsvollen Verkehrssituationen jederzeit sicher fühlten. Die Unterkünfte entsprachen unseren Erwartungen. Ein besonderes Highlight zum Abschluss unserer Reise waren die Tage in Nianing im charmanten „La Maison Couleur Passion“. Dieses wunderschöne, kleine Hotel überzeugte mit sauberen, geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern mit Meerblick, ausgezeichneter Küche und der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft eines überaus freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Ehepaars. Der traumhafte Strand bot nicht nur Erholung, sondern auch faszinierende Einblicke in das lebendige Strandleben: Fischer, die in großen Gruppen ihre Boote an Land brachten, Kinder und Jugendliche beim Fußballspielen und Eselkarren, die vorbeizogen – all das vermittelte uns einen authentischen Eindruck vom Alltag der Menschen. Unsere Reise in den Senegal war ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Dank der hervorragenden Organisation konnten wir viele interessante Begegnungen erleben, tiefgehende Gespräche führen und ein faszinierendes Land kennenlernen.
