Over the past 20 years I have travelled to many places in Africa. I also did a group tour thru India a few years ago, two different mainland Mexico trips, I volunteered in Haiti and other places. So coming to West Africa was not my first rodeo as they say. I was with Penguin Travel before and have booked with Tour Radar in the past, but this trip was so unorganised. The way we moved around from one place to the other made no sense. Sometimes it seemed we were going in circles. Coming into the Lompoul Desert after dark meant eating and then just going to bed and then getting up to eat breakfast and leaving. Not much of an experience. Chez Camille was not a good stay as they had no food or beverages available other than just breakfast and we stayed there 2 different times. I have a hearing disability that I always point out to guides when I am on a trip and have always had them make sure that I understood the days plans and I have never had a problem like I did here, communication was a big problem even though I pointed it out more than once. I did receive kind help from the guide at times as well as from other members of the group. But overall, I've certainly been on much better group tours. The infrastructure of the country certainly is below par, but the people were so smiling and friendly.

    Hannah

    Asked on January 7th, 2025

I am considering taking a week off to visit Senegal and am looking for an organized, budget-friendly trip. I plan to arrive in Senegal on the afternoon or evening of May 9th and depart on May 16th or 17th. I'm particularly interested in wildlife and animals, so activities like birdwatching, visiting parks, or similar experiences would be ideal. Do you have any offerings that might align with this? If so, could you also let me know the price?

Unfortunately, our group tour dates are in February and October 2024. We can check for a private tour based on one person. However, keep in mind it will be much higher price. Let me know if we should do it.
