- Day 1
Sarajevo
After arriving at the airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel to settle in. The rest of the day is yours to wander through Sarajevo's old town at whatever pace works for you. If your flight timing allows, there's an option to start a guided city tour today covering historical and cultural spots like Bascarsija, various mosques, churches, synagogues, museums, and the Latin Bridge. Otherwise, this guided tour happens on day 8 instead.

- Day 2
Sarajevo to Jajce
Head northwest from Sarajevo toward Travnik, about an hour's drive away. You'll explore a 15th century fortress with views across the area, visit the Plava Voda spring, and see the Sulejmanija Mosque and Ivo Andric's birthplace museum (the Nobel Prize winner). There's time to browse the Old Bazaar for traditional crafts and check out various religious sites. After that, continue to Jajce, called the 'town of waterfalls,' where you'll see the dramatic Pliva waterfall and walk through the medieval fortress with its distinctive circular wooden towers and catacombs.

Jajce to Bihac
Drive west toward the Croatian border to reach Una National Park in about 2 hours. A park ranger will guide you through the natural reserve, including the spectacular Strbacki Buk waterfalls right on the Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia border. After a break by the waterfall, you'll head to the Iapod Islands near Bihac for some peaceful walking with Una River views. By evening, you'll be at Natura Art Eco Village where you can stroll through outdoor art installations and watch artists creating their work.

Bihac
After breakfast in Bihac, start at Liberation Square and visit the Fethija Mosque with its Ottoman design, then climb the Captain's Tower for river views across the area. Walk through the historic quarter with its Ottoman-era houses and bazaar street. There's a quick stop at Riverside Park and the Museum of Bihac, plus you'll see the iconic Old Stone Bridge. Grab a coffee by the River Una, then drive to the riverside town of Bosanska Krupa. On the return, visit Ostrozac Castle to learn about its noble history.

Bihac to Donji Vakuf or Livno
Two route options today. Option 1 takes you to Klljuc Castle, a coffee break near Sana River, then Mrkojic Grad to explore the town center, see the Church of St. John the Baptist, walk along Pliva River, and end at Semesnica eco-village in a wooden hut. Option 2 goes to Drvar for the Josip Broz Tito Partisan Memorial and Orthodox Church, then Livno for historic buildings and religious landmarks, the Duman River source, then Continental Adventure Resort in cabins near 800 wild horses.

Donji Vakuf/Livno to Mostar
After breakfast, you're driving to Mostar with a quick stop at Lake Ramsko to take a scenic drive around it and walk the shores, seeing mountain reflections in the water. You'll visit the Church of St. George on the lake shore and have coffee, then continue to Mostar where a guide walks you through the old town. You'll see Stari Most (the 16th century Ottoman bridge), the bazaar with craft shops, the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, and the historic clock tower.

- Day 7
Mostar
This day focuses on the major sites around Mostar. Begin at Blagaj Tekija, a dervish monastery from around 1520 set against dramatic gray rock cliffs near the Buna River source, with bright blue water reflections below. The building blends Ottoman and Mediterranean architecture nicely. From there, head to ancient Pocitelj on the Neretva River, exploring well-preserved Ottoman buildings, the Haji Ali Mosque, and the clock tower. End at Kravice waterfalls surrounded by green landscapes, where you can swim in the turquoise pool if you'd like.

- Day 8
Mostar to Sarajevo
Drive back to Sarajevo after breakfast with a stop in Konjic to visit Tito's Nuclear Bunker, a Cold War historical site that once housed Yugoslav political leaders. You'll learn about how it was built, what it was for, and the geopolitical situation of that era. After a brief look at Konjic's old bridge, continue to Sarajevo. The afternoon is free for you to visit the Bascarsija district with its narrow streets and traditional crafts like coppersmithing, explore the Markale market for local goods, or take the city tour if you didn't do it on day 1.
