Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples
This morning you have choices. You can head to Pompeii to see the ancient city preserved by Mount Vesuvius, or check out Herculaneum with its archaeological sites and well-preserved buildings. If you prefer, there's Naples' historic old town where you'll find the royal palace and Via San Gregorio Armeno, where local craftsmen make nativity figures. The Cloister of Santa Chiara is also worth seeing for its 18th-century nativity scene.

Sorrento and Amalfi Coast
Early on you'll arrive in Sorrento, surrounded by orange and lemon groves with great sea views from the cliffs. Grab an Italian aperitif at a local restaurant. From there, you'll travel along the Amalfi Coast road, driving past colorful villages perched on the hillside. The afternoon is spent cruising along the water.

Palermo and Monreale
The morning starts in Palermo, Sicily's capital, where you'll walk through the historic center. The cathedral there has distinctive amber-colored stone, and the Church of St. Mary of the Admiral has beautiful interior mosaics. After that, you'll head to Monreale and visit the Norman cathedral from the 12th century, which sits overlooking a fertile valley below.

Trapani and Erice
You'll start in Trapani at Sicily's western tip, walking through the historic streets and checking out the Ligny Tower and the Mura di Tramontana fortifications. Later you'll head up to Erice, a medieval village sitting 750 meters above sea level. The cobblestone streets have stone houses and offer views of the Egadi Islands and the sea. The afternoon is spent cruising.

Agrigento and Valley of the Temples
This morning takes you to Agrigento, one of Sicily's oldest cities, where you'll explore the Valley of the Temples. These are Greek ruins from the 8th century BC, including the Temple of Concordia, one of the best-preserved Doric temples around. After that, you'll walk through Agrigento's cobblestone streets and see the churches and squares. The afternoon you'll be cruising.

Valletta
You have a free morning in Valletta to do what you want. For the excursion, you'll explore Malta's capital perched high on steep cliffs with remarkable architecture built by the Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem. There's an exclusive stop at Saint John's Co-Cathedral. Evening brings onboard entertainment.
