    Was für eine Reise – einfach unvergesslich! Als wir uns im Winter dazu entschlossen, den zentralen Abschnitt der Seidenstraße zu bereisen, war Turkmenistan für Touristen noch geschlossen. So begann unser Abenteuer in Xiva, mitten in der usbekischen Wüste. Eine Stadt wie aus einem Märchen von 1001 Nacht – vollständig erhalten, authentisch, sauber und gepflegt. Man fühlte sich um Jahrhunderte zurückversetzt und hätte sich nicht gewundert, wenn Aladin mit seiner Wunderlampe auf einem fliegenden Teppich vorbeigeflogen wäre. Was konnte das noch übertreffen? Nach einer abenteuerlichen Fahrt im koreanischen Minivan durch die Wüste – auf Straßen, die tatsächlich schlechter sind als manche in Westdeutschland – erreichten wir Buchara. Der nächste kulturelle Höhepunkt! Zwei Tage lang tauchten wir tief in die Geschichte ein, hatten Zeit für intensives Sightseeing und – entgegen unserem ursprünglichen Vorsatz „Wir kaufen nichts!“ – konnten wir den vielen Basaren und Ständen einfach nicht widerstehen. Weiter ging es nach Samarkand, wo uns erneut ein kulturelles Feuerwerk erwartete. Weitläufig, beeindruckend und voller architektonischer Schätze – Medresen, Karawansereien, Grabstätten und lebendige Märkte, die uns in ihren Bann zogen. Anfang/Mitte Juni hatten wir allerdings mit Temperaturen jenseits der 40 Grad zu kämpfen. Der Mai wäre klimatisch sicher angenehmer gewesen, doch der Vorteil: Es waren deutlich weniger Touristen unterwegs, was die Besichtigungen umso schöner machte. Von Usbekistan nach Tadschikistan – ein Wechsel der Welten Der Grenzübergang nach Tadschikistan war kein Spaziergang: Bei über 40 Grad mit Gepäck hunderte Meter zu Fuß durch vier Kontrollen – eine echte Herausforderung. Doch unser neuer Guide Mubin empfing uns mit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft, und die atemberaubende Bergwelt Tadschikistans entschädigte für alle Strapazen. Die Straßen, von Mubin liebevoll „Massage-Straßen“ genannt, rüttelten uns gehörig durch, doch die Landschaft war einfach überwältigend: tiefblaue und smaragdgrüne Seen, schneebedeckte Fünftausender, Gletscher – und endlich angenehmere Temperaturen! Wir besuchten Basare, die in ihrer Farbenpracht kaum zu übertreffen waren, und eine traditionelle Bäckerei, in der das Fladenbrot an die Decken der Lehmöfen geklatscht wurde – erstaunlicherweise fiel keines herunter! Mubin, unser unermüdlicher „Duracell-Hase“, zeigte uns jede noch so kleine Besonderheit seiner Heimat – und ließ nichts aus! Duschanbe – eine glänzende Überraschung Tadschikistan als Land wirkte oft arm und teilweise vermüllt, doch Duschanbe überraschte uns mit sauberer Pracht. Ein kurioses Detail: Bevor wir in die Stadt fahren durften, musste unser Auto gewaschen werden – sonst hätte es Strafen gegeben! Und überall prangten überdimensionale Porträts von Präsident Rahmon – ein durchaus befremdlicher Anblick. Der erneute Grenzübertritt zurück nach Usbekistan verlief glücklicherweise entspannter – dank Mubin, der für uns ein Mini-Tuk-Tuk organisierte, in dem wir zu dritt mit vier Koffern Platz fanden. Ein Foto davon wäre unbezahlbar gewesen! Von Taschkent nach Kirgisistan – Begegnungen, die bleiben Taschkent, eine Stadt zwischen Vergangenheit und Moderne, beeindruckte uns mit kulturellen Highlights und U-Bahn-Stationen, die zu den schönsten der Welt gehören. Im Fergana-Tal besuchten wir eine Töpferei und eine Seidenproduktion – und wieder war es unmöglich, nichts zu kaufen! In Kirgisistan erwartete uns unser neuer Guide Mars – ein wunderbarer Mensch, der perfekt Deutsch sprach und dieses zufälligerweise in unserer Heimatstadt Würzburg gelernt hatte. Sofort entstand eine besondere Verbindung, und wir stehen bis heute in Kontakt. Mit unserem Fahrer Kuba rumpelten wir in einem alten Sprinter über Pisten, die uns innerlich fast die Schrauben lockerten. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis war der Besuch bei der Nomadenfamilie seines Bruders. Ihre Gastfreundschaft war unglaublich: Spontan wurden wir zu Tee, Brot, Butter, Rahm und Stutenmilch eingeladen – alles selbst produziert. Unser nächstes Ziel war ein Jurten-Camp, wo wir die Nacht verbrachten. Nach den heißen Wüstentagen erwartete uns hier das Kontrastprogramm: Wenige Tage zuvor lag noch ein halber Meter Schnee! Doch die Jurten waren urgemütlich – mit richtigen Betten! Und die Marmor-Toiletten in einem separaten Häuschen sorgten für eine unerwartete Überraschung. Über den Yssyk-Kul-See nach Kasachstan – der krönende Abschluss Am riesigen Yssyk-Kul-See, der unseren Bodensee winzig erscheinen ließ, genossen wir traumhafte Strände mit Blick auf schneebedeckte Berge. Die letzte Etappe führte uns nach Kasachstan – und auch hier ein völlig neues Bild. In Almaty, einer modernen, lebendigen Millionenstadt, fühlte man sich fast wieder wie in Europa. Der krönende Abschluss war unser Ausflug in den Charyn Canyon – der sogenannte „kleine Grand Canyon“. Die roten, bizarr geformten Felsen erinnerten uns fast mehr an den Bryce Canyon – ein atemberaubendes Naturwunder. Eine Reise für die Ewigkeit Diese Tour hat sich tief in unser Herz und unsere Seele eingebrannt. Wir haben atemberaubende Landschaften gesehen, faszinierende Kulturen erlebt und unglaublich herzliche Menschen kennengelernt. Doch auch gesellschaftspolitische Realitäten wurden uns bewusst. In den ehemaligen Sowjetstaaten gibt es nach wie vor eine gewisse Nostalgie – nicht jeder hat sich mit der Unabhängigkeit leichtgetan. Besonders Kirgisistan sticht als einzige parlamentarische Demokratie hervor. Gespräche über Politik führten wir vorsichtig – doch auch kritische Stimmen über den „großen Bruder“ Russland waren zu hören. Dass diese Reise so reibungslos verlief, verdanken wir Ventus Reisen und den großartigen Partnern vor Ort. Ein riesiges Dankeschön!

    Ich bin wohlbehalten von meiner Reise nach Turkmenistan zurückgekehrt – und erneut war es eine hervorragend organisierte Reise. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch meine Reiseleiterin Natascha war äußerst fürsorglich. Sie stellte sicher, dass alles reibungslos verlief und die Unterkünfte meinen Erwartungen entsprachen. Während der Rundreise vermittelte sie mir mit fundiertem Fachwissen spannende Einblicke in das Land. Eine Übernachtung in Ashgabat wurde kurzfristig in ein anderes Hotel verlegt: Statt des Hotels Yildiz, das für Regierungsgäste reserviert war, wurde ich im Hotel Archabil untergebracht. Dieses erwies sich als exzellenter Ersatz – ein ebenso hochwertiges 5*-Hotel, in dem das Frühstücksbuffet sogar noch besser war als im Yildiz. Auch die beiden Inlandsflüge verliefen pünktlich, und die insgesamt sieben Fahrer, die mich auf meinen Fahrten durchs Land begleiteten, sorgten mit komfortablen Fahrzeugen für eine sichere und angenehme Reise. Ich habe viel gesehen, faszinierende Eindrücke gesammelt und einen tiefen Einblick in die Geschichte Turkmenistans erhalten. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Beteiligten vor Ort und an Ventus Reisen für diese unvergessliche Erfahrung!

Der gesamte Ablauf war hervorragend geplant und organisiert. Alle Übergaben durch die Guides sowie die Tagesprogramme funktionierten reibungslos und wurden, wenn nötig, flexibel und angemessen an die Gegebenheiten angepasst. Unsere Reiseleiter waren durchweg kompetent, zuverlässig, freundlich und hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns jederzeit bestens betreut und sicher fühlten.   • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 10th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 10th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Ventus Touristik GmbH. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 55 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Ventus Touristik GmbH will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
    • The following cards are accepted for "Ventus Touristik GmbH" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
