Itinerary
- Day 1
Aswan
You'll arrive in Aswan and start by checking out the High Dam, a massive structure completed in the 1970s that fundamentally changed the region. The Unfinished Obelisk in the quarries is next, where you can see what ancient stonemasons left behind. After grabbing lunch, head to Philae Temple, which sits on an island and honors the goddess Isis with well-kept inscriptions and reliefs. If you're interested, there's an optional evening trip to a Nubian Village where you can see local farming practices and the distinctive architecture of the region.

- Day 2
Kom Ombo - Edfu
This morning you'll travel early to Abu Simbel to see two temples carved directly into rock cliffs. The larger one honors Ramses II while the smaller temple was built for his wife, and both show remarkable engineering skill. Later, after lunch, you'll head to Kom Ombo where the temple has an unusual two-sided layout dedicated to two different gods. By evening, there's entertainment back on the cruise ship with traditional Egyptian music and dancing.

- Day 3
Karnak
After breakfast, you'll visit the Temple of Edfu, which is one of the better-preserved temples in Egypt and honors Horus. From there, you'll travel to Karnak to walk through one of the largest temple complexes in the world. The site contains 134 towering columns with detailed carvings, and it's dedicated to several gods including Amun. The scale of the place gives you a real sense of how much effort ancient Egyptians put into their religious structures.

- Day 4
Valley of the Kings - Hatshepsut Temple - Luxor Temple
You'll start in the Valley of the Kings, an underground collection of 63 tombs carved into rock with colorful paintings and burial items from the New Kingdom. Next comes Hatshepsut Temple, which has distinctive terraced levels and columns. Then you'll see Luxor Temple, an important ceremonial site right in the city. Later in the day, you'll head to Luxor International Airport for your departure flight, wrapping up your Egypt journey.
