    Frankfurt

    Your adventure in Germany starts today. Make sure your flight gets you to Frankfurt by 3 pm, then head to the ship for a 5 pm boarding. You'll want to allow time for check-in and settling into your suite before the evening departure.

    Main River Village to Würzburg

    Start your morning with a German cookie baking demonstration right on the ship. Later, you'll take a guided tour through a charming village along the Main River, seeing local sights and getting a feel for the region. The ship keeps things entertaining in the evening with live performances as you sail toward Würzburg.

  3. Day 3

    Würzburg

    Würzburg is known as the Pearl of the Romantic Road, and a guided tour shows why with stops at the Old Main Bridge, the fortress, and the baroque Bishop's Residence. After that, you have time to walk through the festive Christmas markets. If you want something different, an optional trip to Rothenburg lets you visit the famous Käthe Wohlfahrt German Christmas museum.

    Bamberg

    The morning starts with an onboard Christmas Traditions Lecture. Then you'll explore medieval Bamberg on a guided sightseeing tour, where the city displays dozens of nativity scenes throughout. You'll have free time to browse the Christmas markets and try traditional food like dumplings, sausage, and Bavarian ale.

    Nuremberg

    You get to choose your day here. Either join a guided tour of Nuremberg's medieval architecture, including the gilded fountain, Gothic cathedral, and Kaiserburg Castle, or see the historic Rally Grounds instead. Afterward, head to the Christmas markets to sample bratwurst, gingerbread, and mulled blueberry wine.

    Regensburg

    A guided city walk shows you the Altes Rathaus and Porta Pretoria, an ancient fortress entrance from 179 AD. Then you can browse the sparkling Christmas markets for hot mulled wine, candied almonds, gingerbread, and bratwurst. Before sailing to Passau, there's a Christmas Traditions Lecture on board.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.

    ship was excellent, food and drinks were great, adventures perfectly organized,all crew members were extremely friendly and helpful. One person was outstanding and needs to be mentioned: our cruise director GAYLE. She was just outstanding and the best we ever experienced.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
