Itinerary
- Day 1
Cochin
You'll arrive at Cochin airport where your representative meets you for the hotel transfer. This afternoon, you'll check out several key spots around the city - the Dutch Palace gives you a look at colonial architecture, then head through Jew Town to see the Jewish Synagogue built back in 1568. The spice market is worth a walk if you want to take in the scents and see what local vendors are selling. Before evening, you'll catch the Chinese fishing nets in action and round out the day with a classical Kerala dance performance. Overnight at your hotel.

Cochin to Munnar
After breakfast you'll head to Munnar, a hill station about 4 hours away. Once you settle into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to spend as you like. Some people walk around and take in the views, while others head to the tea plantations nearby if that interests you. You could also try paragliding if you're looking for something active. By evening you'll be back at your hotel for the night.

- Day 3
Munnar to Periyar
Following breakfast, you'll travel roughly 4 hours to Periyar and check into your hotel there. Spend the early part of the afternoon relaxing. Later, you have the option to take a boat out on Periyar Lake - you might see tigers, elephants, wild boar, or deer around the national park. There's also a chance to visit nearby tribal villages and watch how locals collect honey if that appeals to you. You'll head back to your hotel for the night.

Periyar to Alleppey Houseboat
You'll board a houseboat at Alleppey and spend the day cruising through the backwater canals. Along the way you'll see villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, and local fishermen going about their work. Lunch and dinner happen on board, and you'll anchor for the night in a quiet spot with the breeze coming off the water. It's a good evening to get some rest.

- Day 5
Alleppey Houseboat
You'll continue moving through the backwaters on the houseboat, eating meals throughout the day while you relax on the water. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful as you make your way to another scenic spot to anchor for the night. The natural surroundings and the breeze make it an ideal setting for a restful evening.

Landmarks Alleppey Backwaters - Day 6
Alleppey to Cochin Airport
After breakfast on the houseboat, you'll disembark at Alleppey, which is known locally as the Venice of the East because of its narrow canals and backwater system. From there it's a 70 km drive to Kochi Airport, taking about 2 hours. Your representative will drop you off there for your onward flight.
