Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Machhikhola
You'll leave Kathmandu early and spend 7-9 hours driving by 4x4 jeep through scenic terrain with lush hills and riverside views. The route takes you through rural areas where you'll catch glimpses of traditional Nepalese village life before reaching Machhikhola, a small settlement beside the Budhi Gandaki River.

Landmarks Budhi Gandaki River - Day 2
Machhikhola to Jagat
This day involves trekking 6-7 hours along the Budhi Gandaki River valley. You'll cross several suspension bridges and pass by hot springs at Tatopani during the morning. After that, the trail narrows through a gorge and climbs up to Jagat, a pleasant village that marks your entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area.

Jagat to Deng
You're trekking 8-9 hours today through green landscapes dotted with small villages and terraced fields. The path winds along the Budhi Gandaki River with several bridge crossings, then ascends through rocky sections. By evening you'll reach Deng, a village showing strong Tibetan cultural influences.

Landmarks Budhi Gandaki River - Day 4
Deng to Lho
Trek 7-8 hours ascending through thick forest and crossing streams as elevation gains. Higher up, the landscape opens significantly and mountain vistas come into view. You'll arrive in Lho, known for its monastery and the excellent views it offers of Manaslu and surrounding ridges.

- Day 5
Lho to Samagaun
Today's 8-9 hour trek passes through valleys and traditional Tibetan-style villages. There's an optional side trek to Punggyen Gompa monastery if you want closer looks at Manaslu and the peaks around it. Later you'll continue to Samagaun, a larger village with significant cultural and historical importance.

Landmarks Punggyen Gompa Mount Manaslu - Day 6
Samagaun to Samdo
This is a shorter day with just 4-5 hours of gradual climbing to Samdo. The route goes through yak pastures and provides exceptional views of the surrounding mountains. Samdo sits close to the Tibetan border and has a distinct cultural character that reflects its border location.

Samdo to Dharamsala
You'll trek 4-5 hours today through barren terrain with towering peaks surrounding you on all sides. The trail is relatively short but steep, and it brings you to Dharamsala (also called Larkya Phedi), where you'll prepare mentally for tomorrow's demanding pass crossing.

Dharamsala to Bhimtang (Larkya La Pass)
This is the most difficult day of your trek. Starting early, you'll cross Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters, the trek's highest point with views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II spread across the horizon. The descent afterward is careful and technical, ending at Bhimtang in a valley surrounded by high peaks.

Bhimtang to Dharapani
You're descending 6-8 hours now through rhododendron forests and crossing rivers on suspension bridges. The Dudh Khola valley offers nice scenery, and you'll pass through several small villages. By day's end you reach Dharapani, which serves as a junction with the larger Annapurna Circuit trail.

Landmarks Dudh Khola - Day 10
Dharapani to Kathmandu
The final drive covers 7-9 hours from Dharapani to Beshisahar, where you'll enjoy last views of the mountains and countryside. From Beshisahar the drive continues back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive at your hotel, you can rest and reflect on completing the Manaslu trekking circuit.
