Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Marrakesh
You'll land in Marrakesh and meet your driver at the airport who takes you straight to your hotel. After checking in, they'll fill you in on what's coming up during your stay. The rest of the day is open, so you can either wander around the city or stick around your accommodation and settle in.

- Day 2
Marrakesh
A local guide shows you around Marrakesh starting with the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque and the beautiful 19th-century Bahia Palace. Then you walk through the Koranic School of Ben Youssef and spend time browsing the famous souks for shopping. In the afternoon head to Majorelle Gardens to see the exotic plants, and finish at Djemaa el-Fna square with its storytellers, snake charmers, and musicians. Grab coffee at one of the cafes overlooking the square to wind down.

Marrakesh to Skoura
Drive through the Atlas Mountains to reach the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with incredible architecture. Continue on to Ouarzazate, known as the 'Hollywood of Africa' where films like The Mummy and Kingdom of Heaven were shot. After lunch in town, head to the palm groves of Skoura where you'll stay overnight.

- Day 4
Rose Valley to Merzouga
Travel through the Rose Valley toward Todra Gorges, passing fortified Berber villages along the way. Then through to Erfoud, a French colonial town famous for its black fossil marble. From there drive toward the Merzouga dunes and hop off your vehicle to take a camel ride across the Sahara to your Berber camp. If you're interested, try sandboarding on the dunes before settling in for dinner by the fire with traditional Berber music.

- Day 5
Merzouga Desert
Start the morning exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes by Jeep and meet local nomads who'll share tea with you. Visit the Gnawa House in Khamleya village to listen to spiritual healing music, then eat at a local restaurant featuring traditional dishes. Return to your camp to rest and take in the desert experience.

Merzouga to Fez
Watch the sunrise from camp, have breakfast, then ride back to Merzouga on camel before leaving the desert. Head into the Atlas Mountains, crossing the Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock and going over the Tizi N'Talghamt Pass to Midelt. Move through the Middle Atlas forest with its cedar trees and Berber villages, stop in Ifrane and Azrou, and end up in the medieval city of Fez by evening.

Fez
A private guide takes you through Fez, Morocco's first imperial city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site from the 9th century. See the entrance to the royal palace and get views over the medina from the southern tower. Stop at a pottery workshop to watch tile and mosaic making, then the tanneries to see artisans at work. Visit a madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Karaouine Mosque University. After lunch at a traditional restaurant, explore the medina's narrow streets filled with vendors selling dates, spices, carpets, and more.

- Day 8
Fez to Chefchaouen
After breakfast drive to Meknes, Morocco's fourth imperial city with 17th-century heritage. Stop for lunch and walk the medina's historic walls. Continue to the Roman ruins of Volubilis to see the open-air museum and learn about Moroccan history. Later head to Chefchaouen, the blue town in the Rif Mountains, and explore its white and blue-washed medina with its unique handicraft markets.

- Day 9
Chefchaouen to Tangier
The morning is free for you to wander more through Chefchaouen's blue streets and alleyways. In the afternoon drive to Tangier and check into your hotel. Spend your time exploring the narrow streets with their colorful doors, pass through Grand Socco and Petit Socco with their riads and small hotels, and get a feel for this historic city that attracted artists and writers over the years.

Tangier
Head out to Cape Spartel and the Hercules Caves about 14 kilometers outside Tangier and explore the cave system with its interesting geology and history. You'll get great views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Strait of Gibraltar from here, perfect for photos. Come back to explore the Kasbah district by the port, then return to the medina for a free evening on your own.

Tangier to Casablanca
Leave Tangier for Rabat, Morocco's administrative capital. See Hassan Tower, the 12th-century mosque damaged by the Lisbon earthquake, and the ornate mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II with its distinctive white silhouette and green-tiled roof. Walk through the Oudaya Kasbah, a 12th-century fortress by the Bou Regreg River. Then continue to Casablanca to see the Hassan II Mosque and the square of Mohammed V.
