Huaraz
Early morning arrival in Huaraz greets you with views of snow-capped peaks surrounding the town. A guide takes you through the charming town center in the morning, then the afternoon and evening are open for your own exploration. Check out local restaurants, hit some scenic viewpoints, or just wander around at your own pace.

Pastoruri Glacier
Today focuses on Pastoruri Glacier. You'll ride about 3 hours by coach to reach the trailhead, then hike for 2 hours to get to the glacier itself at 5,000 meters/16,404 feet. The landscape features massive snowy cliffs, rugged rocky valleys, and wide panoramic views across one of the last remaining glaciers in tropical South America.

Laguna 69
This is a demanding day, so fuel up at breakfast before heading out. You'll hike to Laguna 69, the 69th of roughly 300 lakes in Huascaran National Park. The trek runs over 7 hours and covers about 9 miles, passing through farmlands and past ancient ruins. The bright blue glacier-fed waters surrounded by mountains and valleys make the effort worthwhile.

Chavin de Huantar to Lima
After breakfast, a private vehicle takes you about 2 hours to Chavin de Huantar, a UNESCO site with pre-Incan temples featuring intricate sculpted stone blocks dating back to 1200 BC. You'll walk through the labyrinth of structures, then head back to Huaraz in the evening and board an overnight coach to Lima.
