- Day 2
Porto
This morning you'll walk along Rua de Santa Catarina, Porto's main shopping street, and stop by the historic Majestic Café for traditional Portuguese coffee. Then head to Mercado do Bolhão market to check out local produce before wandering through the UNESCO-listed Ribeira district with its colorful buildings and Douro River views. After lunch, you'll cross the Dom Luís I Bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia for a Port wine cellar tour and tasting. From there, climb Serra do Pilar to catch the sunset, then finish with dinner at the WOW cultural district.

In the afternoon, see the opulent Palácio da Bolsa and its spectacular Arab Room, then the 14th-century Igreja de São Francisco with its Baroque interior and gilded wood carvings. You'll have free time to explore on your own before dinner near Galerias de Paris.

Porto to Peso da Régua to Porto
You'll start early with a boat journey along the Douro River from Porto to Peso da Régua, having breakfast on board while passing through Douro Valley scenery. The route takes you past the impressive Crestuma and Carrapatelo dams, and lunch happens on the boat. Later you'll visit a Quinta do Douro estate for a guided Port wine tasting. By late afternoon, you'll return to Porto by train through the valley, arriving at São Bento Station by evening for dinner in the city centre.

By late afternoon, travel about one hour to Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês, Portugal's only national park, and settle in for dinner surrounded by nature.
