Itinerary
- Day 1
Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park
You'll fly from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam, then settle in for a 5-hour drive to Mikumi National Park. The route takes you through Morogoro Town where you'll stop for lunch before continuing on. Once you arrive at the lodge, there's time to rest and freshen up. Later in the afternoon, head out on your first game drive where you can spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, zebras, buffalo, and hippos among the wildlife. Dinner happens back at the lodge in the evening.

Udzungwa National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll drive to Udzungwa National Park with a picnic lunch packed for the day. A guide takes you trekking through the forest to see Sanje Waterfall, which drops 170 meters down through mist into the valley below. From an elevation of 180 meters, you get views across the Kilombero Valley stretching out around you. The hike back to the lodge takes the afternoon, and dinner follows that evening.

Mikumi National Park
This is a full day spent driving through Mikumi National Park with your guide. You'll search for elephants, giraffes, wild dogs, lions, antelopes, and other animals throughout the park's interior sections. Your guides know where to find the harder-to-spot wildlife, so you'll cover different areas as the day goes on. By evening you'll head back to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Mikumi National Park to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you begin the drive back toward Dar es Salaam. On the way, stop at a Maasai boma to learn about their culture, traditional clothing, and how they live as pastoralists. Later you'll pull into Morogoro Town for lunch before continuing the final stretch to Dar es Salaam. You'll arrive with enough time to catch your flight back to Zanzibar.
