Customer Reviews
- Anna· December 3rd, 2024Great coordination! Great experienceShow more
- Michael· August 23rd, 2025The 7 day Galapagos Islands tour is a good way to see 3 of the many islands. There are many early mornings activities so it was reassuring to have some free time before dinner. On the 3 mornings that require very early transfers, we only got breakfast once. The transfers require a short taxi ute ride followed by a short boat ride ($1 cost) before reaching the ferry (do not sit at the front as you will feel every bump and may not get fresh air (think fumes)). We selected Standard accommodation and we were disappointed with the lack of expected facilities (no chair to sit on, no towel rack, room facing the main street) but at least they had running water (once it was fixed at 1 hotel), a bed and air conditioning (1 sounded like a jet engine). The tours were great and catered for all participants (languages and speed of walking). If you do the hike to Sierra Negra, ensure you have good boots, sun cream, plenty of water and snacks and maybe walking poles to cope with the rough terrain after reaching the craters rim. If you go snorkelling ensure you hire wetsuits and we thought they were provided - they were only once provided out of the 3 occasions. Josselyn was very helpful notifying us of changes to times and fixing some of the accommodation problems.Show more
- Molly· August 15th, 2025I commend Responsible Travel South America on a wonderful tour to Ecuador and the Galapagos. They were very effective in answering my many questions throughout the planning process and our private family tour was well executed, enjoyable and fun.Show more

Asked on June 23rd, 2025I am interested in joining this group next February, however, my Spanish is very limited. Would it be recommended for me to join or do none of the guides speak English? I do not expect the full English language support but would be happy to have a guide who can confirm the times/dates or meeting points in English.
- Responsible Travel South AmericaOperator•Written June 2025
Regarding your question: yes, I will make sure your guide speaks English and can help confirm times, dates, and meeting points in English throughout the trip. You will always have someone who can communicate with you clearly, so no worries about the language barrier.

Traveler•Written June 2025I was going to book the tour via TourRadar, it will be just me (at least for now). To make it easier for you, if you have anyone already booked in February, I could join the group that starts on 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th - is there any date you would prefer me to book?

Traveler•Written June 2025I would like to check the pricing though - is the cost for single travellers double? I normally travel with other companies that do have single supplements but they are usually just to cover the difference in hotel costs. Please let me know what the final price for a single traveller is, and if it includes transfers from and to the airport (even if I stay a few days longer)?

Traveler•Written July 2025If I pay the full price for one person now, can I assume a friend might join me at a later stage and you will be able to change the room and add the extra person there with no additional costs? Can you also confirm the airport collection and drop off (drop off would need to be arranged on 16th February for the hotel/AirB&B) I will be staying in for the few days the tour.

Gail
Traveler•Written July 2025Can you confirm what the cancellation policy is? I was about to book the slot and wanted to check the policy I proceed with the booking, but the cancellation policy linked to TourRadar mentions Galapagos Ecuador Tours, not Responsible Travel South America.

Asked on May 20th, 2025DOES THIS TOUR GO TO BOTH THE BRAZILIAN AND THE VENEZUELAN SIDES OF THE FALLS
- Responsible Travel South AmericaOperator•Written May 2025
The tour includes visits to both sides of the Iguazu Falls—the Brazilian side with its amazing panoramic views and the Argentine side as well, giving you a complete experience of this natural wonder. Your trip will start in Asunción, then you'll travel to Encarnación to see the Jesuit Ruins, and continue to Foz de Iguazú where you will explore both the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the falls. You'll also have the chance to visit the incredible Bird Park on the Brazilian side.

Asked on December 2nd, 2024visitar uruguay and another country like brazil or argentina would be interesting
- Responsible Travel South AmericaOperator•Written December 2024
I can offer Argentina with Uruguay. How many days are you interested in? As an initial idea: 4 days and 3 nights starting in Buenos Aires including a full day to Colonia (Uruguay), then Mendoza for 3 more days. Unless your passengers are interested in other places like El Calafate, Ushuaia, Bariloche, Salta, Puerto Madryn. Let me know which places interest your passengers and how many days to create an interesting itinerary for them to review. Your clients speak English, right?
