Johannesburg Arrival
You'll land in Johannesburg after your overnight flight and settle into your airport hotel. Since arrival times differ for everyone, there's nothing scheduled. Rest when you need to or take time to explore the city on your own if you're not too tired.

Johannesburg to Windhoek to Sossusvlei
Morning flight takes you to Windhoek, Namibia's capital. From there, you'll start the road journey toward Sossusvlei and check into your lodge by evening. Dinner with the group gives you a chance to meet fellow travelers before the real adventure kicks in.

- Day 4
Deadvlei Experience
You're up early to tackle Deadvlei in the Namib desert. The red sand dunes lead to a stark salt pan surrounded by towering ancient petrified trees and some of the world's tallest sand formations. Watch for oryx navigating this harsh landscape and bring your camera.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
You'll leave the desert behind for a long scenic drive to Swakopmund on the coast. This town blends German colonial buildings with desert-meets-ocean views and Skeleton Coast access. Afternoon takes you through Welwitschia Plains and Moon Valley to see plants found nowhere else on Earth.

Walvis Bay Marine Cruise
You're headed to Walvis Bay for a marine cruise hunting for seals, dolphins, and pelicans with expert guides. After that, Pelican Point shows you pink pelicans and views of historic shipwrecks scattered along this dramatic coastline.

Swakopmund to Etosha
The longest drive of your trip takes you inland to Etosha National Park. You'll stop at a winery set against the Erongo Mountains for a tasting and lunch break. By afternoon you're settled at a rustic lodge overlooking the African bush, ready for dinner.

Early morning starts your first game drive in open safari vehicles searching for rhino, giraffe, lions, elephants, and antelope. Ostriches and wildebeest appear throughout. Back at the lodge for lunch, then another afternoon drive to see more of Etosha's salt flats and wildlife.

Windhoek to Cape Town
You spend the morning at Penduka, a nonprofit focused on women's empowerment and traditional craftwork. After learning about their community impact work, you'll head to the airport for your flight to Cape Town. Evening brings a special dinner at a local family's home where you'll exchange stories and get a real feel for everyday Cape Town life.

Cape Point and Penguins
Cape Point is your destination today, the southwestern tip of Africa where green hills meet bright blue water. You'll see the Cape of Good Hope and stop at Boulders Beach to watch endangered African penguins. The scenic drive back along Table Bay completes the afternoon.
