Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi
Your morning starts with a pickup winding through Hanoi's narrow streets to meet your group in the Old Quarter. From there you'll see the French colonial Hanoi Opera House and head to the Long Bien Bridge, which spans the Red River. Next comes a visit to a hidden village on a Red River island where you can meet locals and step inside a family home. After that, you'll ride through banana and kumquat farms before stopping at Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake. The route then takes you past the Monument of John McCain at Truc Bach Lake and on to Huu Tiep Lake to check out the B.52 Crash site. You'll pass by the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area for views of the Presidential Palace and Parliament Building. By late morning or early afternoon, you'll try the famous Hanoi egg coffee by the railway tracks, and then sit down for Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel.
