Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Dades
Your hotel in Marrakech picks you up early morning for the drive across Tizi n'Tichka Pass through the High Atlas mountains. You'll pass through several Berber villages and stop at a riverside oasis along the way. The main stop is Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, where you can walk around the clay fortress and take photos from different angles. After that, you head toward Dades valley, which locals call the valley of a thousand kasbahs because of all the mud-brick structures dotting the landscape. The drive offers really nice views the whole way. You'll reach your accommodation in Dades by evening and have time to settle in before dinner.

Dades to Erg Chebbi
Following breakfast, you start driving toward Todra Gorge for a quick stop to see the dramatic rock formations. From there it's a longer drive to Erg Chebbi dunes, and you should arrive around 4pm. After a short rest, you'll head out on a camel ride into the sand dunes. The evening brings you back to the Berber camp where you'll sleep in traditional tents. Before dinner, you get to watch the sunset from the dunes, which gives great light for photos. Dinner happens at the camp, and you spend the night here.

- Day 3
Erg Chebbi to Marrakech
You wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes from the camp, then have breakfast before mounting the camels for the ride back to the auberge. The return journey to Marrakech is a long drive that takes most of the day, heading back through Tichka Pass. You'll pass through the same mountain scenery from day one but from the opposite direction. Plan to arrive back in Marrakech by evening.
