Islamabad
Start by heading to the Faisal Mosque, where you'll see the white marble structure backed by the Margalla Hills. From there, make your way to the Pakistan Monument and Museum to get a sense of the country's history and different regions. After grabbing lunch, drive up to Daman-e-Koh for views across the city, then spend some time walking through Saidpur Village where you can check out cafes and local handicraft shops. Finish the evening with dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Islamabad to Rawalpindi
Travel to Rawalpindi and watch artists working at the Truck Art Workshop, then head into Raja Bazar where you'll find spices, fabrics, and all sorts of goods. The historic Rawalpindi Railway Station is worth a quick look, after which you can walk through the old city markets of Gunjmandi and Ganj Mandi Bazaar to see how locals shop and get a feel for the neighborhood's history. By evening, head to Ayub National Park to relax by the lake before having dinner at a local spot.
