Rome
You'll arrive in Rome and get settled into your accommodation. There's an optional airport transfer available if you need it, though it does come with an extra charge. Take some time to get oriented in the city once you're checked in.

Rome
This is a full day exploring Rome's ancient history. You'll start with the Colosseum, then move through the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill with a guided tour. After lunch, head to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel using skip-the-line tickets so you won't waste time in queues. From there, walk through St. Peter's Basilica. There's free time built in between activities, so you can grab coffee or explore on your own.

Rome to Florence
Take the train to Florence in the morning. Once there, you'll spend the day on a food tour through the city's hidden culinary spots. You'll visit local eateries off the beaten path, try traditional Florentine dishes, and sample Tuscan wines while chatting with locals. The tour finishes with dessert wine paired with cantucci cookies, a nice way to end the afternoon.

Florence to Venice
Train to Venice and spend the day in the San Marco district. You'll wander through the city's quiet streets and quieter corners, visiting places like the Scala Contarini del Bovolo, a hidden staircase with great views. Pass through Campo Manin and see the Teatro La Fenice opera house and the Church of San Moise. The mix of major sites and lesser-known spots gives you a real feel for Venice beyond the main tourist areas.

Lake Como
Take a bus to Lake Como, stopping first in Tremezzina to take in the views. A 1-hour boat ride takes you across the water, and you'll dock in Bellagio to walk through its narrow alleys and sit down for coffee or gelato. The boat continues to Cadenabbia, and then you'll visit Como's historic center before heading back to Milan by bus later in the day.

It's a good day to get used to the Swiss pace of things after the hustle of Italy.

Swiss Alps
Travel by train to the Jungfrau region of the Swiss Alps. You'll stop in Interlaken, the gateway town to the mountains, and take in the views as you head to Grindelwald. From there, continue to Lauterbrunnen, where you'll see dramatic cliffs and waterfalls all around you. The whole day involves scenic train rides and photo stops, then you'll return to Zurich by evening.
