Kathmandu Valley UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Head out from your hotel at 7 AM and spend the full day visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites throughout the Kathmandu Valley. Start at Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you'll see the historic palaces and temples in the old city center. From there, move on to Patan Durbar Square to check out its own collection of ancient architecture and courtyards. Later in the morning, you'll reach Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in the region. After lunch (arrange this with your guide), head to Swayambhunath Stupa, which sits on a hilltop overlooking the valley. Then continue to Changunarayan Temple before finishing up in Bhaktapur to explore its traditional Newari architecture and narrow streets. Plan to return to your hotel around 7 PM after a long but rewarding day of cultural sites.
