Itinerary
- Day 1
High Atlas Mountains to Dades Gorge
Your pickup comes at 8:30 AM from the Riad, then you'll head south across the High Atlas Mountains. The drive takes you over passes reaching 2200 meters, and you'll follow an old caravan route through Ounila Valley where historic Kasbahs and 14th-century structures dot the landscape. Lunch stops at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later in the afternoon, you'll pass through a city known for film production before reaching your Riad in Dades Gorge by evening.

- Day 2
Dades Gorge to Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, the route heads south from Dades Gorge toward Merzouga Desert. Along the way, you'll see the Monkey Fingers rock formation and pass through oases producing dates, figs, peaches, and almonds. A traditional restaurant provides lunch. During the early afternoon, you'll come across an ancient irrigation system and fossil houses over 200 million years old. Once in Merzouga, a private camel caravan takes you to the dunes for sunset. Dinner happens under the stars with a campfire and traditional music at your camp.

- Day 3
Merzouga Desert to Fes
Early morning brings a sunrise over the sand dunes before breakfast. From there, you'll travel north as desert gradually shifts to green vegetation. The largest cedar forest in the Middle Atlas comes into view, where Berber macaque monkeys live (though they may approach to grab phones, glasses, or food). Next, the drive passes through Ifrane with its Swiss-style architecture and mountain charm. You'll arrive in Fes by evening and check into an authentic Riad.
