Itinerary
- Day 1
Ha Giang
You'll get picked up from your address and drive toward Ha Giang, stopping for lunch in Tuyen Quang along the way. The road takes you deeper into the mountains where you can take in the scenery, then you'll stop at a Tay village to walk through traditional stilt houses surrounded by rice fields and palm-covered hills. After dinner, you'll stay overnight in Ha Giang.

Ha Giang to Dong Van
Following breakfast, you'll head to Dong Van traveling across mountain passes with great views of the rolling terrain and local plant and animal life. Lunch happens in the small mountain town of Tam Son, and from there you visit H'mong Lung Cam villages. You'll see the former palace of H'mong King Vuong Chinh Duc and check out Lung Cu Flag Pole, which marks national sovereignty. Arriving around 18:00, you'll have dinner at a local spot and sleep overnight in Dong Van.

Dong Van to Cao Bang
After breakfast, you'll walk through Dong Van Market where locals buy and sell goods from nearby villages. Next comes Ma Pi Leng Pass, widely considered Ha Giang's most beautiful pass and a real highlight of the trip. From there you descend into Meo Vac valley and continue on to Bao Lac village for a rest and lunch. Later you'll drive to Cao Bang for the night, with dinner at your hotel.

Cao Bang to Hanoi
You'll have breakfast then leave Cao Bang headed for Ban Gioc Waterfall. Along the way, you'll go through Nguom Ngao Cave to see rock formations created by water erosion over thousands of years. At Ban Gioc Waterfall, you can relax, take photos, and hop on a bamboo boat to get closer and feel the mist from the falls. After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll head back to Hanoi, arriving late afternoon for drop-off at your address where the trip ends.
