Hanoi
Your guide meets you at Noi Bai International Airport and drives you into Hanoi downtown for hotel check-in. The rest of your day is yours to do as you please. Some people prefer relaxing at the hotel, while others head out for a walk around the city center to try some local draft beer at nearby bars.

- Day 2
Ninh Binh
After breakfast, you'll travel to Ninh Binh to visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, which served as the seat of Vietnamese feudal dynasties from 968 to 1009. Two temples on the old royal palace grounds tell the story of the Dinh and Le dynasties. Later, you take a 2-hour boat trip through Tam Coc, sometimes called 'Halong Bay on land', paddling through three limestone caves along the Ngo Dong River while seeing rice paddies and riverside temples. You'll head back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.

- Day 3
Halong Bay
You leave Hanoi in the morning and travel through the Red River Delta farmlands, observing rural village life with farmers in rice fields, water buffaloes, and local transport. Upon arriving in Halong Bay, you board a traditional sailing junk. The day includes exploring limestone caves, beaches, floating villages, and dramatic rock formations. There's an optional chef's cooking demonstration where you can try your hand at traditional Vietnamese cooking. Lunch and dinner are served in the elegant dining room. By evening, you might watch a movie, try squid fishing, or have cocktails on deck. You'll stay overnight on the cruise.

- Day 4
Saigon
An optional early morning tai chi session happens on the sundeck at dawn if you're interested. You'll have light breakfast and a colorful brunch onboard, then continue exploring Halong Bay's 2,000 islets and major highlights. In the late afternoon, you transfer to Noi Bai Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After checking in at your hotel in Saigon, your evening is free.

- Day 5
Saigon
Your guide picks you up at 08:30 for a full day exploring Ho Chi Minh City's wartime history. You'll visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive network of underground passages used by Viet Cong guerrillas during the Vietnam War. Inside, you see tunnel sections, various booby traps, American tank remains, and bomb craters. An optional shooting range lets you fire M60, M16, or AK47 rifles if you want. Back in the city, you tour the former Presidential Palace, the War Remnants Museum for the Vietnamese perspective on the war, the red brick Notre Dame Cathedral with its twin spires, and the Central Post Office designed by Gustav Eiffel. You stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

My Tho
You travel to My Tho, capital of Tien Giang Province, located 75 kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City on the Mekong River. The area surrounding My Tho has orchards and rice fields that supply the country. You visit one or two islands known for traditional handcrafts, coconut candy production, and bee farms. A boat trip on the Mekong River takes you to Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the Mekong Delta. After returning to Ho Chi Minh City, you check in at your hotel for the night.

Phnom Penh
Your driver meets you at the hotel and takes you to the bus station for a 6 to 7 hour bus journey crossing the border into Cambodia. In Phnom Penh, a guide meets you at the station. You begin touring at Toul Sleng, a former high school turned into a torture chamber by the Pol Pot regime where approximately 16,000 people died. Next is the Independent Monument featuring Naga snake motif designs and a bronze statue honoring the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk. There's optional time for Naga Casino Entertainment if you want to gamble or shop duty-free. You check into a 4-star hotel in Phnom Penh for the night.

Phnom Penh
After breakfast, you visit the Royal Palace complex including the Silver Pagoda with thousands of silver floor tiles and the largest golden Buddha statue. The Raung Damrei Museum comes next, then Wat Phnom, a 15th century stupa on a small hill marking the legendary founding of Phnom Penh City. You explore Central Market, one of the largest and busiest markets in Phnom Penh built by the French in 1937. The Khmer Bazaar at Sorya Center Point has shopping and mini replicas of Khmer architecture. Later, you visit Choeung Ek, now a peaceful countryside memorial where over 10,000 people were executed by the Khmer Rouge. Your final stop is Russian Market for DVDs, clothes, and souvenirs. You stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Siem Reap
You depart Phnom Penh early in the morning for Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat temple complex. The 6-hour journey crosses three provinces: Kandal, Kampong Cham, and Kampong Thom. Along the way, you stop at Skun, known as the 'Spider Village', where fried spiders are sold as a popular snack to tourists. You visit Kompong Kdei Ancient Bridge, built by Jayavarman VII around 1,000 years ago during the Angkor period. In Siem Reap, you check out Wat Preah Prum Rath, the second oldest pagoda in the city, and Les Chantiers Ecoles Artisans D'Angkor, a workshop teaching traditional Cambodian wood and stone carving. After checking in at your hotel, your evening is free.

Siem Reap
After breakfast, you enter the South Gate of Angkor Thom Temple complex and explore the enigmatic Bayon temple, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, and Terrace of the Leper King. Before lunch, you visit Ta Prohm Temple, famous for massive trees growing through its ruins and jungle surroundings. In the afternoon, you explore Angkor Wat, the largest and best-preserved temple at the site, built in the early 12th century by King Surya Varman II as his state temple and capital. This religious center has remained significant from its Hindu origins through its current Buddhist use. You watch the sun set over Angkor Wat before heading back to your hotel for the night.
