  1. Day 1

    Buenos Aires

    You'll arrive in Buenos Aires and check into your hotel in this vibrant city known for Belle Epoque architecture and sidewalk cafes. The afternoon opens up for exploration. La Boca offers colorful streets and an active art scene, while San Telmo has a bohemian feel with antique shops, boutique hotels, and tango clubs scattered throughout. Wander around at your own pace and soak in the local culture before dinner.

  2. Day 2

    Buenos Aires to Ushuaia

    After breakfast, you'll head to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city. Upon arrival, you board the Discovery Yacht Scenic Eclipse and meet the Captain and crew. As you depart, there's a toast to celebrate the start of your expedition. The yacht then heads through the Beagle Channel, and you can take in dramatic Andean mountain views from your private verandah or the Observation Deck.

  3. Day 3

    Cape Horn

    You'll sail past Cape Horn where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet at the southernmost point of South America. Watch for sea lions, penguins, and whales in the waters below. Later, you cruise through Murray Channel, named after Captain John Murray, where albatrosses and seabirds are common sights. In the theatre, the Discovery Team gives an introductory presentation about how Zodiac excursions and other activities will work. Evening brings entertainment and dinner.

    Chilean Fjords

    Today takes you through the Chilean Fjords with their dramatic long narrow inlets and glacier-carved islands. From the Observation Deck, you'll see towering peaks, cascading waterfalls, and dense forests. You'll come across Seno Garibaldi, one of the world's few advancing glaciers, and Seno Pia Glacier with its ice crevasses and rivers. The Discovery Team, including geologists, historians, ornithologists, and marine biologists, shares insights about the World Heritage Biosphere Reserve and its seals, sea lions, and Andean condors.

    You'll cruise through the Beagle Channel with views of the Andean mountains from your suite. The yacht travels through the 64-kilometre Vockburn Channel, known for glacier views. Keep watch for seals, dolphins, and whales. In the afternoon, relax in a cabana on Deck 10 or enjoy tea on your private verandah while your butler takes care of your needs.

    The day centers on Aguila Glacier and Condor Glacier, part of the Darwin Mountain Range in Alberto de Agostini National Park. These ancient ice formations cascade down mountainsides into the sea. Aguila Glacier feeds into a mineral-rich lagoon that attracts wildlife. You'll see these glaciers surrounded by fjords, ice fields, subpolar forests, and snow-capped peaks in Chile's third-largest national park.

    You'll stand on the Observation Terrace as the Scenic Eclipse cruises through the narrow passages of Magdalena Channel and Gabriel Canal, surrounded by towering cliffs and pristine wilderness. The Tucker Islets are home to colonies of Magellanic penguins, skuas, and petrels. For dinner, you can eat at Sushi at Koko's, catch theatre entertainment, and then unwind with a drink at the Scenic Lounge Bar.

You can take a Zodiac to secluded Ainsworth Bay to get close to towering glaciers and spot seals on ice floes. Alternatively, spend the day working out at the gym, taking Pilates or guided stretching, or trying aerial yoga on board.

The Discovery Team shares maritime history about early explorers like Magellan and Sir Francis Drake. Theatre entertainment uses advanced cinemascope technology and 270-degree viewing screens.

There are 10 dining venues total to explore. After theatre entertainment, head back to your suite for a nightcap.

    You visit the remote Isla Pinguino, a windswept wildlife sanctuary off the Patagonian coast. The island has a thriving colony of Magellanic penguins and a small group of rockhopper penguins, the only such colony this far north on the Atlantic coast. You'll go ashore with the expert Discovery Team to walk the rocky terrain and seaweed-fringed coastline, watching for elephant seals and seabirds riding thermals above the cliffs.

    Today is a leisurely day at sea. Sleep in and start with freshly squeezed juice, barista-made coffee or tea delivered to your suite by your butler. If interested, visit the bridge through the Captain's open bridge policy to learn about the Discovery Yacht's technical abilities and see it operating. The bridge is also one of the best viewing areas on the ship.

    Punta Piramides

    You explore Punta Piramides, a World Heritage-listed nature reserve and breeding location for endangered southern right whales, elephant seals, and sea lions. During daily Discovery excursions on Zodiacs, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding, you can ask your expert Discovery Leader for photography tips and wildlife spotting guidance.

    • For any tour departing before February 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of $1,000 is required to confirm your booking with Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
