Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your driver picks you up from your Nairobi hotel in the early morning and heads to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, which sits in the northern section of the Serengeti ecosystem. Once there, you'll have lunch at the lodge, then set out on an afternoon game drive where you can look for lions, elephants, buffalos, zebras and other wildlife across the plains as daylight fades.

Maasai Mara
This day is devoted to game viewing throughout Maasai Mara, with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, cheetahs and leopards. You'll also have the chance to visit a Maasai boma, which is a traditional homestead where you can see how local Maasai people live, including interactions with warriors, herding boys and village elders to understand their way of life.

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you'll leave Maasai Mara and drive through the Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake known for its large flamingo population. The park has more than just birds though, you'll see zebras, elephants, gazelles, and have solid chances of seeing rhinos and Rothschild's giraffes throughout the day.

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
Starting early after breakfast, you'll spend the morning in Nakuru park watching flamingos and other bird species, black and white rhinoceros, Colombus monkeys, leopards, giraffes and antelope. After lunch, the drive back to Nairobi takes the afternoon, and you'll check into your hotel once you arrive in the city.

Nairobi to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you depart with a packed lunch and all necessary documents to cross into Tanzania at the Namanga border. The journey continues to Arusha as you travel through the landscape, and you'll have your packed lunch along the way before checking into your hotel for the evening.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, the drive takes you to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its large herds of elephants. From an open-roof vehicle, you'll search through seasonal swamps, savanna and along the Tarangire River looking for zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and giraffe. You may also see lions on the hunt or leopards lounging in trees. Lunch and an afternoon game drive round out the day.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara
An early morning hike along Sangaiwe hills starts your day before you head to Lake Manyara National Park, where dramatic cliffs of the Rift Valley drop down to a famous soda lake below. The park contains thick groundwater forest with baboons and blue monkeys, then opens into woodland, grassland and swamps that host over 350 bird species. You'll look for buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and the rare tree-climbing lions before heading to Karatu for dinner.

Karatu to Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, you depart at 0800 hours heading toward Serengeti National Park, driving through Ngorongoro Highlands with a picnic lunch break at Naabi Gate. In the afternoon, you'll explore central Serengeti, one of the largest parks covering over 14,000 square kilometers and home to the world's biggest concentration of big cats, vast plains, hills, woods and major rivers.

Serengeti National Park
Your day consists of morning and evening game drives across the endless Serengeti plains. You'll encounter massive herds of wildebeest and zebra during migration season, plus lions, leopards, cheetahs, impala, buffalo, various birds and around ten thousand elephants spread across the landscape.

Landmarks/POIs Serengeti National Park - Day 10
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast with packed lunches ready, you depart early for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a massive 100-square-mile formation. The vast grasslands dotted with watering holes hold roughly 30,000 animals including all five members of the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. The crater is the world's largest unbroken caldera and provides year-round wildlife viewing. Late afternoon brings a drive to the Manyara area.

Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast, you drive to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural visit where local women share how they operate their farming and financing groups. You'll share a local lunch with them and try traditional African food together. After lunch, the return journey takes you back to Arusha for hotel drop-off.
