Check into your Toronto hotel and get settled in. After that, you've got the rest of the day to explore on your own terms. A walk along the waterfront is worth considering if you want nice views of Lake Ontario and some fresh air to shake off travel fatigue.

Toronto
Start your day on a hop-on hop-off city tour to hit Toronto's main attractions. You'll head to the Royal Ontario Museum, then wander through the historic Distillery District with its cobblestone streets and galleries. After lunch, check out the Hockey Hall of Fame if that interests you, and finish the afternoon at the CN Tower where high-speed elevators whisk you 342 meters up for views across the entire city and surrounding area.

Toronto to Niagara Falls to Toronto
Leave early for a full-day trip to Niagara Falls through the Niagara Peninsula, known for its fruit farms and orchards. The main event is a boat tour called Voyage to the Falls that gets you right up close to the cascading waters, which is genuinely powerful. Later you'll head to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a charming Victorian town in the wine region, before heading back to Toronto by evening.

Toronto to Quebec City
Board the VIA Rail train called The Corridor headed for Quebec City. You'll spend about 11 hours traveling through scenic landscapes, passing through the Thousand Islands region and along the St. Lawrence River. There's a train change involved, but you'll arrive in Quebec City by evening ready to explore this historic French-influenced city.

Quebec City
Join a guided bus tour through Quebec City's historic and modern sections.
