- Day 4
Arctic Activities
What you do depends on when your tour starts. November through January 17, you'll head out on a RIB boat with a guide to watch for orcas, minke whales, and humpbacks in the wild. There's a heated cabin on board where you can learn about the marine mammals while staying comfortable. From January 24 on, you'll do a snowshoe or nature hike (about 2 hours) through the winter landscape, learning about Sami reindeer herding traditions. After lunch back at the lodge, you'll have free time, then gather around an open campfire in a Lapp tent to hunt for the Northern Lights for roughly 3 hours before heading back inside.

Dog Sled Safari
You'll spend about 3 hours on a dog sled ride through the snowy Arctic. After a brief rundown, you take the reins of your husky team as the musker and steer through the wilderness yourself. The dogs handle the cold Arctic climate just fine. There's a hearty snack break built into the ride. Keep in mind, if your tour starts before late November, the sleds run on wheels instead since snow's thinner, but it's still a solid Arctic experience.

A low-key walk around the lodge to soak in the Arctic vibe works too.
