Itinerary
- Day 1
Stockholm
You'll arrive in Stockholm and take the Arlanda Express from the airport, which gets you into the city center in about 20 minutes. From there, it's a short walk to your hotel. Depending on when you land, you can wander around Drottninggatan and check out Sergels Torg or City Hall if you have time. For dinner, try one of the local restaurants and get some Swedish food in you after traveling.

Stockholm
This is your day to see Stockholm's main attractions using the 72-hour hop-on hop-off bus ticket. You can head to Djurgården museum island, walk through Gamla Stan (the Old Town) to see the Royal Palace and Riksdag, or take an optional boat trip out to Drottningholm Palace if that interests you. The city's built across 14 islands connected by 53 bridges, so there's a lot to cover.

Sandhamn
Take a boat through Stockholm's canals to Sandhamn island at the edge of the archipelago, roughly 2.5 hours from the city. Spend your time exploring the small center with shops and cafés. In the afternoon, you'll head back by boat to Stockholm. Note: if you're traveling June 1-12 or August 19-September 2, the day's free for you to do as you like, and there's an optional guided bike tour of the city if you want it.

Stockholm to Grinda
After breakfast, take the ferry to Grinda island, about 1.5 hours through the inner archipelago. The island's a peaceful nature reserve with sandy beaches and rocky shores perfect for swimming. There's also an Art Nouveau villa from 1906 worth seeing. You'll settle in for two nights, so get comfortable and unpack a bit.

Landmarks/POIs Grinda Island - Day 5
Grinda
Spend the day on Grinda exploring the nature reserve with its pine forests and rocky terrain. There's a 2.5 km hiking trail connecting the northern and southern jetties that goes through meadows and forests. Head to Klubbudden headland at the southeastern tip for good views of the archipelago, or check out Grinda Gård, a working farm with livestock and beekeeping. Optional activities include kayaking and bike rentals if you want to get more active.

Grinda to Stockholm
The ferry takes you back to Stockholm, roughly 1.5 hours. Once you're back in the city, spend your afternoon exploring more of Stockholm. You can stroll through Gamla Stan's historic streets or head up to Stockholm City Hall for the view. This is your last night in the city, so make it count.
