Sydney
You'll arrive and check into your hotel with rooms ready from 3 pm. Spend the early afternoon wandering around Sydney at your own pace, then meet up with the group at 6 pm for a welcome drink to kick things off.

- Day 2
Sydney
Start by heading to Watsons Bay to see The Gap cliffs, then walk through the Botanic Gardens where you can take in views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. After that, head to Bondi Beach and later hop on a harbor cruise that includes lunch. The afternoon is free for you to relax and rest up.

- Day 3
Sydney to Blue Mountains
Travel about 130 km to the Blue Mountains UNESCO World Heritage Site and see the wooded steep rock faces, waterfalls, and canyon landscape. You'll check out the Three Sisters rock formation and wander through small villages while trying some local experiences and adventures in the area.

Sydney to Alice Springs
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Alice Springs. Once you arrive, explore the town and visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service to learn how these 'flying doctors' operate in remote areas. Tour the old telegraph station to get a sense of the town's history, then spend time at the Desert Park with open-air enclosures showing Australian landscapes and wildlife, plus darkened spaces for viewing nocturnal reptiles and marsupials.

- Day 5
Alice Springs to Kings Canyon
Head out to Watarrka National Park in the Red Center to see Kings Canyon with its 100 m high red cliffs. You'll take a circular hike of about 45 minutes along the canyon floor to get a feel for the terrain and decide if you want to tackle the longer, more challenging hike tomorrow.

Kings Canyon to Uluru
In the morning, there's an optional hike to the rocky plateau above Kings Canyon (around 3 hours, requires surefootedness) for desert views. Later, drive around Uluru and stop for short walks at its base. As sunset approaches, you'll watch the rock glow red while sipping sparkling wine at this iconic location.

Uluru to Cairns
Rise early to watch the sunrise at Uluru as the rock takes on color at dawn. Visit the Aboriginal Cultural Center to learn about Uluru's spiritual importance to Aboriginal people who've lived here for over 10,000 years. Take a short walk to Kata Tjuta, a rust-red dome-shaped rock formation, then transfer to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight to Cairns and check into your hotel.

Kuranda - Cairns
Ride a historic train through the rainforest up to the Atherton Tablelands with sweeping views of the Pacific coast and Great Barrier Reef. Arrive in the jungle village of Kuranda to learn about the history, mythology, and traditional ways of local indigenous people. In the afternoon, float back down over the rainforest canopy on the longest cable car in the southern hemisphere before heading back to Cairns.

The day is yours to plan. Cairns has around 160,000 residents and serves as a hub for the Tropical North with warm seas, beaches, rainforests, waterfalls, and exotic wildlife. Think about visiting Daintree National Park's ancient rainforest north of Port Douglas, exploring the tropical town, or simply relaxing by your hotel pool.
