Itinerary
- Day 1
Dublin to Athlone
You'll arrive in Dublin and head toward Athlone, with a chance to stop at Tullamore Dew Whiskey Distillery along the way if you'd like a tour and tasting. From there, you can visit the historic Clonmacnoise monastery complex sitting on the River Shannon before reaching Athlone. Once you arrive, check out the 12th-century castle and then head to Séans Bar, Ireland's oldest pub, where you'll catch traditional music playing.

- Day 2
Athlone to County Mayo
This morning you'll drive through County Mayo, stopping at Strokestown Park House and the National Famine Museum. After that, you'll continue on to Foxford to walk through the Woollen Mills. Later you'll head to Céide Fields, one of the world's largest Neolithic excavation sites. The visitor center has a viewpoint where you can see Bunatrahir Bay and the surrounding landscape spread out below you.

County Mayo
You have options today. You could explore Achill Island, Ireland's largest island, which has sandy beaches, karst formations, and dramatic cliffs. Or head to Wild Nephin National Park where you'll find moorland landscape and hiking trails to walk through. If you're into stargazing, the Mayo Dark Sky Park offers excellent conditions with very little light pollution to get in your way.

- Day 4
County Mayo to Connemara/Galway
You'll drive through Connemara, a region with secluded valleys, moorland, and lakes throughout. Kylemore Abbey is on the route and worth seeing. You can explore Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord, and there's an optional boat trip if that interests you. Another option is walking the historic Green Road trail, which has views of abandoned villages and remnants from the Great Famine era.

Galway
Spend the day in Galway, a university town with winding alleyways full of restaurants and shops. Walk around Eyre Square and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Park, then visit Lynch's Castle and the Spanish Arch. If you want to venture out, there's an optional day trip to Inishmore on the Aran Islands. By evening, you can find traditional Irish pub music playing around town.

Galway to Kerry
You'll drive through the Burren karst landscape with its prehistoric ring forts and megalithic tombs scattered throughout. Stop at Aillwee Cave to see limestone formations inside. Then you'll reach the Cliffs of Moher, which rise 200 meters from the Atlantic and stretch along the coastline. O'Briens Tower is there with views reaching to the Aran Islands. After that, stop in Adare village where you'll see thatched cottages lining the streets.

- Day 7
Dingle Peninsula
You'll explore the Dingle Peninsula, which is partly Gaelic-speaking and filled with beaches, cliffs, and historic sites. Visit the early Christian Gallarus Oratory, which has a distinctive boat-shaped architecture that's quite unusual. You'll pass through charming villages throughout the day and learn about the region's history and culture as you move around the peninsula.

- Day 8
Ring of Kerry
You'll take the Ring of Kerry, one of Europe's most beautiful coastal roads. Starting in Killorglin, you'll stop in Cahirciveen, which is where Daniel O'Connel was born. Valencia Island comes next with tropical vegetation and cliffs to see. Moll's Gap has a viewpoint overlooking three lakes, and Ladies' View offers views of Lough Leane. If you want, you can also visit Muckross House & Gardens, a Victorian mansion in Killarney National Park.

- Day 9
West Cork
You'll travel through Glengarriff and Bantry to reach Mizen Head, the most south-westerly point of the Irish mainland. The cliffs drop 120 meters straight into the Atlantic below. You'll cross a suspension bridge to an offshore island where there's a lighthouse museum to explore. Stop at Inchydoney Beach later, which is marked as a Discovery Point on the Wild Atlantic Way with beautiful sandy areas.

- Day 10
West Cork to Wexford
You'll stop in Cork, Ireland's second largest city built on an island in the River Lee with narrow streets and Georgian boulevards running through it. From there, head to the Copper Coast, a UNESCO Global Geopark with spectacular rocky beaches and bays dotting the coastline. You'll arrive in Waterford, a Viking-founded town, where you can visit Reginald's Tower and the House of Waterford Crystal.

Wexford
You'll explore the Irish National Heritage Park with authentic replicas showing Celtic heritage from Celtic settlements through the Norman arrival in the 12th century. Climb the 115 steps of Hook Head lighthouse for coastal views from the top. Walk along sandy beaches at Raven Nature Reserve and Curracloe Beach where you'll see dune systems. Raven Point Wood is also worth exploring if you want to spot squirrels and grey seals.

- Day 12
Wexford to Dublin
You'll travel to Wicklow, known as the 'Garden of Ireland', with an option to visit Powerscourt House & Gardens if you choose. Explore Glendalough Abbey in the 'Valley of the Two Lakes' before heading back to Dublin. Once there, check out St. Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College among the top sights. Stop at Teeling Distillery to learn about whiskey production and do a tasting. By evening, explore the Temple Bar district for vibrant nightlife and cultural spots.
