Itinerary
- Day 1
Johannesburg to Ohrigstad
Your guide meets you at Johannesburg Airport this morning. From there, you'll drive through Mpumalanga towards Ohrigstad, heading into charming rural areas. In the afternoon, you'll get in an off-road vehicle for your first safari through the bush, timing it so you can watch wildlife as the sun sets over the landscape.

- Day 2
Ohrigstad to Malelane
You're heading south toward Kruger National Park today, stopping at several spots along the Panorama Route. You'll see Blyde River Canyon, walk through Bourke's Luck Potholes, check out God's Window, and visit Lisbon Trap. Later in White River, you'll meet Kim or Tim Buckland for a tour through their coffee farm at Sabie Valley Coffee, learning how they grow and process their beans.

Kruger National Park
This is a full-day safari starting early in the southern section of Kruger National Park. You'll ride in an open off-road vehicle scanning for wildlife. If you're lucky, you'll spot wildebeest, zebra, impala, and warthog throughout the day. There's also a chance to see some of the Big Five: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard, though they're harder to find.

Kruger National Park to Ezulwini
Today you're driving into the Kingdom of Eswatini, traveling through thick forests and mountainous terrain where you'll see traditional round huts. On the way, there's a stop at Ngwenya Glass where local artists create pieces from recycled glass. By evening, you'll reach Ezulwini Valley near Mbabane, the capital.

Ezulwini to Hluhluwe
A local guide takes you around Eswatini, explaining Swazi traditions and daily life. Later you're heading to Hluhluwe in the dense tropical rainforest at the edge of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Once there, you'll take a walk with your guide to see the local plants and animals in their natural setting.

Hluhluwe to Eshowe
Early this morning, you'll be in an open off-road vehicle for a three-hour game drive through Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. After that, you're traveling to St. Lucia where you'll board a boat for a cruise through iSimangaliso Wetland Park, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and birds in the water.

Eshowe
Following breakfast, you're out with local guide Christina Nzuza or a colleague exploring the forest. You'll visit the historic Fort Nongqayi to learn about the area's past. Then you're heading to Eshowe Primary School to spend time with the local children. In the evening, there's a traditional South African braai with live music at the Eshowe Bowling Club.

Later you'll visit the Nelson Mandela Capture Site Memorial near Howick, which marks where he was arrested in 1962. After that, you're heading deeper into the Drakensberg mountains.

Underberg to Lesotho

Lesotho to Chintsa East
You're traveling through Eastern Cape province to Qunu, the small town near Mthatha where Nelson Mandela was born in 1918 and where he was buried in 2013. After visiting, you're continuing to Chintsa East on the Wild Coast, which has a mile-long sandy beach and a more remote feel.

Stellenbosch to Cape Town
This morning you have time to walk around Stellenbosch on your own, checking out the town's architecture and local spots. You'll finish with a city tour that ends at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, where you can explore the historic harbor area.

Cape Town
You're taking a day trip to Hout Bay, a fishing town with a relaxed atmosphere. There's a boat trip to Duiker Island to see Cape fur seals up close. You'll stop at TBag Designs to see what's made from old tea bags. Later, you're visiting Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and going up to Cape Point by cog railroad or on foot. On the return, there's a walk to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach near Simon's Town.
