Frankfurt to Toronto
Depart Frankfurt on your flight to Toronto, and when you land, your guide meets you at the airport for a transfer to the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel. You'll settle in for a three night stay right on the waterfront, so you've got plenty of time to rest up before exploring the city tomorrow.

Toronto
This morning you'll head out on a city tour that takes you through Toronto's mix of historic architecture and contemporary buildings. Lunch happens at the CN Tower where you can head up to the viewing deck for those panoramic views across the city. After that, you'll take a boat out on Lake Ontario in the afternoon, then spend some time walking along the shore hitting a few cafes before heading back to your hotel.

Toronto - Niagara Falls
If you want to do the optional excursion, you'll head out to Niagara Falls today. You'll get close to the water from a boat to really feel the power of it, then afterwards you can walk around the Victorian cottages in Niagara-on-the-Lake for a quieter side of the region. You're back to your hotel by evening.

Toronto to Jasper
Head to Union Station in Toronto to board The Canadian, VIA Rail's transcontinental train. You'll move into your cabin couchette and get meals in the dining car as you travel through about 260 km of Ontario's lakes and forests. The panorama car has elevated seats perfect for taking in the scenery during the day.

Jasper
Throughout the day the landscape shifts as the train moves from Ontario into Manitoba. Those forests and lakes gradually give way to the open prairie stretching out on both sides. You can spend time in the panorama car watching the transition happen or relax in your cabin.

Manitoba
Another day on the train through vast prairie lands where you see grain fields and cattle ranches spread across the horizon. Jasper National Park
The train pulls in to the Rocky Mountains early in the morning. From there you'll take a coach tour through Jasper National Park, visiting Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake. There's an optional boat trip out to Spirit Island if you want it. You arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon to settle in for the night.

- Day 8
Jasper to Banff
Today's a full four hour coach trip along the Icefields Parkway through the Rockies, covering about 295 km. You'll stop at the Columbia Icefields and check out the Glacier Skywalk viewpoint where you can walk onto the glass platform if you're feeling brave. The drive gets you to Banff by evening for a three night hotel stay.

Banff National Park
Your Banff adventure kicks off in the early afternoon when you'll head out to Sulphur Mountain and check out Bow Waterfalls. After spending time exploring the park, you'll make your way into town for dinner at a local restaurant where you can try some regional dishes.

Banff - Lake Louise - Yoho National Park
This morning you head to Moraine Lake where the water has that distinctive milky blue color from glacial sediment. From there you go to Lake Louise to see the turquoise water with the Victoria Glacier in the background and mountains rising up around 3,500 m. Later you drive into Yoho National Park to see Emerald Lake with its unusual coloring.

Banff to Kamloops
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a full day of travel across the Rockies. Meals come to your seat while you watch the mountain passes and the Shushwap Lake landscape pass by the windows. The journey takes about nine hours and lands you in Kamloops in the late afternoon, where you'll spend one night at The Thompson Hotel.

Landmarks Rocky Mountains Shushwap Lake - Day 12
Kamloops to Vancouver
Another scenic day on the Rocky Mountaineer as you travel alongside the Thompson and Fraser Rivers. You'll pass through some dramatic gorges during the approximately 10 hour journey. The Fraser River, British Columbia's longest, flows toward the Pacific about 1,375 km south. You arrive in Vancouver in the late afternoon and check into the Sheraton Wall Centre for three nights.

Landmarks Thompson River Fraser River - Day 13
Vancouver
You'll spend the day on a full city coach tour of Vancouver. The morning takes you through Old Town to see its Victorian charm, then into Chinatown and the Chinese Garden. After that, you'll drive through Stanley Park where you can see the downtown skyline and totem poles from the coach. By afternoon, you'll visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Later, dinner happens at the observation restaurant on top of Harbour Center, which sits 167 metres high and offers great views while you eat.

This day is yours to relax in Vancouver, though there's an optional excursion available if you want something more active. If you book it, you'll take a bus and ferry to Vancouver Island to see Butchart Gardens, which has flowers blooming year-round. Lunch happens during that time, and then you'll head to Victoria to walk around and see its British heritage with the iconic red double-decker buses, manicured gardens, historic hotels, and local pubs and breweries.
