Itinerary
- Day 1
Interlaken
You'll arrive in Interlaken and get settled into your accommodation. This is your time to get the lay of the land and prepare yourself for what's coming next with the mountain activities ahead.


- Day 2
Jungfraujoch and Aletsch Glacier
Take a scenic train from Interlaken through Lauterbrunnen, then board the cogwheel railroad heading up to Kleine Scheidegg where the Eiger's north face comes into view. From there, continue through a tunnel and up to Jungfraujoch at 3,454 m, which is Europe's highest railroad station. Head to the Sphinx viewing terrace to see the Aletsch Glacier, and you can explore either the Alpine Sensation tunnel or the ice palace. If you're interested, optional hiking goes to Mönchsjochhutte. Your return trip takes you through Grindelwald back down to the valley.

- Day 3
Interlaken to Montreux
Drive from Interlaken to Montreux following the Grand Tour of Switzerland route. You'll travel through the Simmental valley, going over either Col de Mosses or the Jaun Pass. Stop in Gruyeres village to visit the castle, check out the Giger Bar and HR Giger Museum, and see the cheese dairy. After that, continue to the Montreux area for your two-night stay. The drive covers about 130 km and runs roughly 1.5 hours.

- Day 4
Rochers-de-Naye
Walk to the Rochers-de-Naye cogwheel train station and ride up through changing scenery from palm trees along Lake Geneva, past vineyards and mountain slopes to the 2,045 m summit. Once there, you can walk around the marmot paradise and La Rambertia alpine garden while taking in the views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc.

Interlaken to Zermatt
Head through the Grand Tour route via Lower Valais with its vineyards and orchards to Visp, then travel up the narrow Mattertal valley to Täsch. Park your car and take the shuttle train into car-free Zermatt, arriving surrounded by massive glaciers, four-thousand-meter peaks, the Monte Rosa massif, and the Matterhorn. This journey covers roughly 150 km and takes about 2 hours total.

- Day 6
Gornergrat
Ride the Gornergratbahn cogwheel railroad up from the valley station to Gornergrat, a 40-minute journey where you might spot ibex and marmots. From the top, you're positioned directly across from the Matterhorn and can see a line of 37 four-thousand-meter peaks.

Zermatt to Lucerne
Take the shuttle train back to Täsch and drive over the Grimsel Pass to its 2,165 m summit. You'll pass Lake Grimsel with its dam and power station, then the Aare Gorge. From there, either head over the Brünig Pass toward Lucerne or take the Furk Pass into the Urseren Valley to Andermatt, then through the Schöllenen Gorge to Lake Lucerne and on into Lucerne. The route covers about 190 km and takes roughly 3 hours.

Mount Pilatus
Take the train to Alpnachstad and switch to the world's steepest cogwheel railroad heading up Mount Pilatus at 2,128 m, arriving in about 30 minutes. Spend time soaking in the views and the unique atmosphere up there. On your way back down, take the aerial cableway from Kriens for a more relaxed descent.
