Day 1
Hanoi
Your driver picks you up at Hanoi airport and takes you into the city center to check in. After settling into your hotel and having some time to rest, you'll head out in the late afternoon for a walking food tour through the streets. This is when you'll try different local dishes and snacks that the city is known for, grabbing everything from pho to egg coffee as you move through the neighborhoods.

Day 2
Ninh Binh
You'll travel south to Ninh Binh early in the day to reach the countryside with its rice paddies and limestone mountains. Join a group tour that includes visiting a temple, then you'll take a boat ride along the river. From Mua Cave you can see out over the landscape before heading to your homestay. Stick around for sunset from your room, which gives you a nice quiet moment to wind down.

Day 3
Ha Long Bay
After breakfast, transfer to Halong city and board a cruise into Ha Long Bay. The emerald waters have limestone mountains rising up around you, and many are covered with rainforest. You'll go kayaking through some of the caves and have time to explore from the water. Stay on deck for the sunset, which is when the whole bay looks especially nice with the light hitting the rock formations.

Day 4
Hanoi
Your last day in Hanoi gives you the morning and afternoon free to walk around at your own pace and check out anything you might have missed. Later you'll need to head to the airport for your departure flight, so plan your final hours accordingly and leave time for the transfer.

Minh was the best guide ever. He knew his food and took us to 6 local eating places that we would not have found ourselves. We felt very comfortable with him leading our group of 5 and it was great to spend the evening with him. Minh’s english was perfect which made communication very easy. I totally recommend this tour and Minh.

This was an excellent trip, visiting places in central Vietnam I had not visited before. I soon found that I was the only person in the group but that caused no problems. The organiser, Viet, kept in touch with me using Whatsap. He/she were very helpful, advising of pick up times for each activity. They also answered promptly and had excellent English skills. I met different people on tours and never felt lonely. Viet also allowed me to change one of my scheduled activities in Hoi An and arranged a more suitable alternative. He also allowed me to cancel one day's activities and refunded me the money. It was all very flexible. Viet arranged daily tours for me with other travel agents. All were very good. The accommodation was also excellent. Each hotel had very friendly staff and were very clean. Breakfast was also good but lacking in choices in Hoi An. I could happily recommend Old Quarter Travel to others.

Love this trip! Great communications about what was happening every day. This trip was different because we had a different guide every day. It worked because of great communication. Great hotels and breakfast every day. All tours included lunch. Everything was handled for us. Great tour coordination!

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of 25% is required to confirm your booking with Old Quarter Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Old Quarter Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
