Hongbo· April 24th, 2025Your choice of hotel is terrible, unthoughtful and unprofessional. We upgraded from a three-star to four-star hotel for the trip in order to ensure the cleaniness and comfort level of our travel. Instead we were put into a hotel in Istanbul that cannot even be rated as one-star (for three nights on a roll plus one extra dayI!!). The room is in very poor condition; bedding was old and felt wet and not clean and the entire room was just a big bed with no space for anythng else. One of us has to make way in order for the other to squeezed into the bathroom. The electric outlet was wobbly and we could not get our universal plug into it to charge our phone (any other hotels we later booked at our own expense has no problem with charging our phone, not to mention the much higher sanitarian standard and comfort level for less than 80 euro a night, which shows that Istanbul is not a third-world country with poor conditions as one of you claimed when I brough up the sitation in WhatsApp. There are plenty of good hotels at a decent price in tourist areas.) Due to one of us having to be in the hospital, we had to cancel our entire trip regrettably, but I am glad that we were able to escpate from the miserable of that hotel even though we missed the entire trip which we had been looiking forward to.
