Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo International Airport or Sphinx Airport where someone holding a sign with your name will be waiting. Your Egypt Tours USA representative will drive you to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. After checking in, your tour manager goes over the itinerary and confirms what times you'll be picked up for the tours ahead.

Giza - Cairo
Following breakfast at your hotel, you'll meet your personal guide for a full day on Giza Plateau. The Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre's pyramid, and the smaller pyramids of Menkaure are all on the agenda, along with the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. After that you head to the Egyptian Museum to see King Tutankhamun's golden treasures and thousands of pharaonic artifacts. Your day wraps up exploring Khan El Khalili, Cairo's old bazaar.

- Day 3
Cairo
Your representative picks you up for an excursion to the Grand Egyptian Museum. You'll see the Hanging Obelisk, King Ramses II statue, multiple statues of King Senusert, the Grand Staircase, Ptolemaic royal pieces, the Victory Column of King Merenptah, royal regalia, and the Grand Atrium. You're back at your hotel by late afternoon.

Cairo to Alexandria
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to head to Alexandria. You'll visit Montazah Palace and Gardens, a sprawling 317-acre property with trees and flowers. Then it's on to Pompey's Pillar, built to honor Emperor Diocletian, and the three-level Roman Catacombs. You'll drive along the Corniche to see the modern waterfront, visit the Qaitbay Citadel built on the ancient lighthouse site, and end at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Alexandria
You have the entire day to yourself in Alexandria. Explore the city at your own pace, check out local shops, spend time by the Mediterranean, or simply relax at your hotel. It's your choice how to fill the day.

Alexandria to Cairo
Breakfast happens at your hotel, then you transfer back to Cairo by air-conditioned car. Once settled at your hotel, the evening brings a luxury Nile River dinner cruise. At 6:30pm you're picked up and board a nice boat for Egyptian food, belly dancers, whirling Dervish performers, and live music, all while enjoying views of illuminated Cairo from the top deck. After the cruise you return to your hotel.

Landmarks Nile River - Day 7
Cairo - Saqqara - Memphis - Dahshur
Your guide picks you up after breakfast to explore ancient Egypt's major sites. You'll see the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure from the 3rd Dynasty, plus the Imhotep Museum and tombs of Kings Titi and Unas. From there you travel to Memphis, the ancient capital, to see the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. Next is Dahshur, about 40km south, where the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid of King Snefru await. Lunch at a local restaurant happens before you head back to your hotel.

- Day 8
Cairo
After breakfast, your guide picks you up to explore Cairo's religious and historical sites. You'll visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din for city views, see the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque built in the early 19th century in Turkish style, and head to Old Cairo to check out the Hanging Church from the 5th century, Abu Sirga Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Your tour ends at Amr Ibn El-aas Mosque, Egypt's first mosque.

Cairo to Aswan
After breakfast you're transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Aswan. Once you arrive and check in at your hotel, the afternoon and evening are yours to settle in and explore the city at your own pace.

- Day 10
Aswan to Abu Simbel
Your guide takes you to Abu Simbel after breakfast to see the temples built by Ramses II. These two temples are major achievements of ancient Egypt from the New Kingdom. The Great Abu Simbel Temple was dedicated to four universal gods and Ramses II himself, while the Temple of Queen Nefertari honors his wife. UNESCO and the Egyptian government relocated these temples to protect them from flooding. You're back at your hotel in Aswan by late afternoon.

Aswan
After breakfast at your hotel, you board your 5-star Nile cruise before lunch. Following lunch, you begin your Aswan tour at the High Dam, an engineering feat built from 1960 to 1970 that changed Egypt's economy and culture. Next comes the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk believed to belong to Queen Hatshepsut. Then you sail by felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat, to Philae Temple on the island of Agilkia. You visit the Temple of Isis with its monuments built across multiple dynasties. Dinner happens on board.

Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor
You sail to Kom Ombo and enjoy afternoon tea there. The Temple of Kom Ombo, built around 180 BC, has a double dedication to Sobek the crocodile god and Haroeris the falcon god. From there sailing continues to Edfu where dinner is on board. You explore the Temple of Edfu, the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Later you sail to Luxor for afternoon tea, dinner on board, and a Galabya party where you can wear traditional Egyptian clothing.

Luxor - West Bank
After breakfast on board, you cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, which saw burials from approximately 1539 BC to 1075 BC. You'll visit 3 tombs including the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun, discovered by Howard Carter in 1922 as the first royal tomb found largely intact. Then you see the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, a three-level temple built for the female pharaoh. The Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III standing for 3,400 years, are next. Lunch is on board and the afternoon is free.

- Day 14
Luxor to Cairo
After breakfast on board, you have the option to take a hot air balloon ride over Luxor. Then your Luxor tour starts with Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built and the most impressive archaeological site in Egypt, spread across 247 acres with three main temples and smaller ones throughout. You visit Luxor Temple, built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramses II, then see the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon. The temple honored gods Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonsu, and later hosted a Christian church and mosque. After your tour you transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo and check into your hotel.
