Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City to Nam Cat Tien
Your hotel pickup from Ho Chi Minh City starts the day, then it's a 150 km drive south to Nam Cat Tien National Park. Once you arrive, you'll head straight to the Dong Nai River for an afternoon boat trip where you can look for birds, macaques, and civets moving through the trees. As it gets dark, the real adventure begins with a night safari using spotlights to search for nocturnal wildlife around the park headquarters. You'll wrap up back at Green Hope Lodge with a Vietnamese dinner.

Nam Cat Tien
This is an early start, meeting your guide at 4:45 am at park headquarters for the gibbon trek. You'll settle into hammocks at a listening post and wait for the singing to begin while looking for sambar deer, mouse deer, wild boar, black-shanked doucs, pigtailed macaques, and birds in the forest. Later in the morning, you'll switch to a jeep for a 9 km ride followed by a 5 km hike to Crocodile Lake, a UNESCO biosphere preserve where Siamese crocodiles, Andaman water monitors, and potentially wild gaurs might appear. After returning to the lodge, dinner wraps up the day.

Nam Cat Tien to Ho Chi Minh City
Following breakfast at the lodge, you'll check out and make the transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City, ending your time at the park.
