I have traveled with Trafalgar previously. On this trip the hotel accommodations we sub-standard. The NH Hotel Chain rooms were dirty and so tiny you could not put your suitcase anywhere on the floor and get to the bed without jumping over the case. Two people could not pass the foot of the beds. The walls were dirty and one of the guests rooms had not been cleaned as there was hair on the pillowcase and trash on the floor. This hotel chain seemed to be a favorite of Trafalgar, probably since the rooms are cheap. On a previous Trafalgar trip the accommodations were excellent. The hotel accommodations will definitely be checked out with more scrutiny or we will go with another travel group as I did not pay for such low class accommodations. BTW, The tour director was excellent. Also we began in Frankfurt and ended in Frankfurt, so had 2 whole travel days traveling to and from Frankfurt. Tour should have begun in Berlin and ended in Prague as there is not much to see or do in Frankfurt or in between.

The tour was excellent (for some reason I wasn't asked to give an Overall rating so it shows a one-star but this is not correct. Overall I vote five stars. My main reservation is vegetarian meals. An attempt was made, but vegetarians are frequently an afterthought even with very expensive restaurants. They tend to give you a salad, or pasta and pesto! This is okay for a one-off but for two weeks the meals were often not good choices. Everybody gets treated as vegan (I'm lacto-ovo) and I need a protein option to all the meat and fish provided for others. Mostly I just got veggies whereas I need something like tofu, eggs, cheese, pulses, etc. A couple of hotels provided something tasty which was appreciated. This needs attention from Tour Radar as the hotels just give you salad! Otherwise the whole trip was excellent. The guides and specialists were great, Uli was lovely and very informed and hard-working (and fun); the coach and driver were great. My other reservation was the Tour Radar should make sure that free room internet is a must. Thanks very much.
