Itinerary
- Day 1
Edinburgh to Tobermory
The tour leaves Edinburgh early heading north, passing by Stirling Castle and through Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and the Trossachs. From there you'll cross Rannoch Moor and reach Glencoe, taking in those dramatic landscapes. After that comes a pair of ferry rides, first across Loch Linnhe and then from Lochaline to the Isle of Mull. You arrive in Tobermory for your first night, a charming harbour town where you can settle in after a full day of driving and water crossings.

Iona and Staffa
This morning involves heading south to Fionnphort to catch a passenger ferry over to Iona, historically significant as where Celtic Christianity took root. You'll walk through Iona Abbey and check out its museum with Celtic crosses and headstones, or if you prefer something quieter, the sandy beaches offer a nice spot to spend time. In the afternoon there's an optional boat trip to Staffa island if you want to see Fingal's Cave. Later you head back to Tobermory for your second night.

Mull Exploration
Today focuses on the quieter parts of Mull, starting with Dervaig, a small village worth walking through. Next up is Calgary Bay with its rugged sandy beaches where white-tailed eagles sometimes show up if you're patient. By early afternoon you're back in Tobermory where you can wander the shops and consider stopping at the local whisky distillery if that interests you. Then it's your final night here.

Tobermory to Edinburgh
You leave Tobermory and head south to Craignure for a short ferry ride to Oban. From there it's west to Inveraray, known for its white buildings dating back to the 18th century and the castle there. After exploring, you enter Loch Lomond National Park and climb up to the 'Rest and be Thankful' viewpoint which sits over 800 feet up with views worth the stop. Then it's eastward toward Stirling and back to Edinburgh by early evening, finishing the tour.
